Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park

Address: 5300 Fox Crk Rd, Pacific, MO 63069, USA

Campground Park Lodging

“We've come to expect cleanliness, friendly service, and good locations from Jellystone Parks. This park checks those boxes. You will hear the interstate noise day and night but it's not unbearable in a self contained unit. Can't imagine it though in a tent or fold down! There isn't much grass for walking the woofers so be prepared to walk a bit if you have a picky pooch. The sites are close together, but this type of campground is more about a destination and not so much about quiet and relaxing in solitude. The camp store is well stocked with simple items you may forget or suddenly need. The pool looked clean and refreshing. Staff was friendly and a pleasure to chat with. You can get the large campers into the full hookup sites pretty easy. I'm sure it's very busy during prime tourist season. The sunsets are great from the store area looking over the forest valley below! It's a 30 minute drive into downtown St Louis to the arch.”

Happy Hounds Playground - Membership Dog Park

Address: 2448 Pond Rd, Grover, MO 63040, USA

Park

“This beautiful park is our dog’s favorite place on the planet. When my husband first got us the membership, I wasn’t sure it was going to be worth the money, but it totally has been. It’s a lovely place to go spend a couple hours with your dog. Milo loves playing fetch and never tires of going for a swim in the pond.”

Lone Elk Park

Address: 1 Lone Elk Park Rd, Valley Park, MO 63088, USA

Park

“This is a great park for a drive-through. It's not a place to go and have a big family reunion. You do not feed the animals or even get close enough to touch them. There are a lot of great places to meditate in this park. Unfortunately, this is a park where you DO NOT bring your pets. It's very upsetting for the wildlife in this park to be exposed to our domesticated pets. Please leave them at home. ✌️”

Larimore Park

Address: 11726 Larimore Rd, St. Louis, MO 63138, USA

Park

“Spent most of my time in the woods, not much going on at parks this time of year, I got there at 7 am hoping to use the restroom, was locked unfortunately... Not a big deal, just a heads up the the brush runs into backyards and a street that's a dead end. So if you're not planning on doubling back stay to the left where a small part cuts back to larimore or, take your chances cutting through yards. I wouldn't ever suggest someone goes that route, anywhere. Js”

Meramec Greenway Trailhead: Al Foster Trail

Address: 225 Grand Ave, Wildwood, MO 63038, USA

Park

“The dynamic duo and I got 8 miles done the other day here. The Al Foster trail head is easy to find, a parking lot, restrooms and picnic pavilion. The trail is earthen tred and flat. It connects to both the Rock Hollow and Hamilton-Carr trails. It's quiet and mostly shaded.... Beautiful! There also a hiking trail that's accessable from Al Foster that we'll go back to try. I highly recommend these trails. Love that there are places like this so closer to home. It's about 30 minutes from downtown St. Louis.”

Pelican Island Access

Address: 17930 Old Jamestown Rd, Florissant, MO 63034, USA

Park

“People of the mid-Missouri region do not spend nearly enough time enjoying our magnificent rivers. If anyone is looking to change that, this is a great place to start.”

Eureka Mountain Bike Park

Address: 1 Coffey Park Ln, Eureka, MO 63025, USA

Park

“Great place for riders to progress in their skills. Small skills area for beginners and kids. Great runs with green, blue and black trails. Nice pavilion and bathroom facilities. Located next to local pool and rec center.”

Rodes Park

Address: 10 Warson Rd, St. Louis, MO 63124, USA

Park

“Nice little park on the corner. The south side Ladue Rd is effectively a one way that allows for parking. A peaceful little creek runs through the middle and there are a couple of flat rocks near the bank that you can sit on. There are no bathrooms or facilities. Just a quiet and peaceful little corner of Ladue and Warson. Also a great place for suburban bird watching.”

Rockwoods Reservation

Address: 2751 Glencoe Rd, Wildwood, MO 63038, USA

Park

“We did the Trail Among the Trees on a very nice February day. It hadn't rained in a few days, so the trail was nice and dry, but there were a few spots that would be a mess after a good rain. Most of the trail was narrow but paved. There were a lot of interesting stopping points, including several overlooks with benches. Toward the end of the trail, the pavement ended, and we walked down into an old quarry, near a large creek bed. The rocks were covered in a thick layer of deep green moss, but there were enough bare spots to climb on. Understand the rocks was a cool cave-like area just big enough to climb into. There is also a closed off cave toward the end that was interesting to check out. You can't climb in, but it's still worth climbing around & adventuring around.”

Bluebird Park

Address: 225 Kiefer Creek Rd, Ellisville, MO 63021, USA

Park

“i am absolutely enamored by bluebird park!! where do i even begin? close parking, play area for the kiddos (i brought my friend and her beautiful baby boy here one time), sitting areas, an amphitheatre (the independence day celebration was CHOICE), gazebos, playgrounds, even a little water park...! like, what DOESN'T this place have? not to mention it's clean and safe. i don't know how the municipal workers do it because i never see them, but i've never seen a speck of trash. out of all of the features, though, i use the fitness trail the most. i believe it's about 1.8 miles though i could be wrong, but it's absolutely wonderful to jog. very scenic, very nice.”

St. John Park

Address: 3515 Brown Rd, St. Louis, MO 63114, USA

Park

“Cute little park for kids to play. Saw this squirrel eating on the picnic table. Cute little thing.”

Castlewood State Park

Address: 1401 Kiefer Creek Rd, Ballwin, MO 63021, USA

Park

“Wow, that's incredibly exciting! A 3-mile trek with a hiking segment is absolutely amazing. The trails are diligently maintained, ensuring a pleasant experience, and the signboards are thoughtfully placed, providing clear guidance. Additionally, it's wonderful to hear that there's a spacious picnic and play area available. The presence of a railway passing through the park adds a unique charm to the surroundings. As the trail winds along the river, it must create a tranquil and picturesque atmosphere. And reaching the hill during the hiking portion to witness the awe-inspiring views of the surrounding area is simply breathtaking. Enjoy the adventure and soak in the beauty of the natural landscape!”

Matthews Park

Address: 11050 Ayrshire Dr, Bridgeton, MO 63044, USA

“The new paved trail is very nice and has benches and tables along the way. The playground needs some repairs. There is currently exposed rusty metal on the stairs and other places. The bathrooms were being repaired when I visited. An arsonist set the bathrooms on fire last summer.”

Kirkwood Park

Address: 111 S Geyer Rd, Kirkwood, MO 63122, USA

Park

“A wonderful suburban park about a mile west of downtown Kirkwood. It has some good natural trails which are all short, but great for a family walk with the dog.”

Schaefer Bend County Park

Address: 13789 Le Sabre Dr, Florissant, MO 63034, USA

Park

“If you have dogs that love car rides and/or walking around and sniffing things, this little bit of green space is a great place to go. When I was a kid, there would have been 100 kids all playing their own games in a space like this. I.e. kickball, wiffle-ball, football, etc. Today's kids are different. If you have a little boy that has too much energy, take him there and kick a ball and make him chase it. Let him fall asleep in the car on the way back home. LOL”

Rockwoods Range

Address: Wildwood, MO 63069, USA

Park

“Hands down, one of the best hiking trails I've ever had the pleasure of enjoying. It's a straight trail, meaning it doesn't loop you back so you have to literally turn around on path and go back( which I have no problem with). Total length is 14 miles, with the trail becoming more scenic with more and more rock covered in moss, hence the name green rock trail... This is the most southern butt end of Rockwood Park. I emplore others to go and enjoy for themselves... And when you get back down to the bottom there is a creek to cool you off!! There are sparse amounts of people any given time of day during the week, so the feeling of nature and solitude are amplified.”

St. Louis West / Historic Route 66 KOA Holiday

Address: 18475 Old US Hwy 66, Eureka, MO 63025, USA

Campground Park Rv park Lodging

“Great pull through site in a very clean and well maintained park. We dont have kids, but there is so much for them to do (pool, playground, jumping pillow, barrel rides, movies in the pavilion, bike rentals) that we wanted to be kids! Laundry room is clean and open 24 hours. Staff is friendly and helpful.”

Tremayne Shelter

Address: 13725 Marine Ave, Maryland Heights, MO 63043, USA

Park

“Great spot in the park to meet people or do a warmup or cool down stretch. Close to bathrooms a great view of the lake”

Concordia Park

Address: De Mun Ave, Clayton, MO 63105, USA

Park

“This is a really nice place to just hang out and enjoy the start to summer, or to chill out really anytime of the year I would say. There are fruit trees, and the grounds are well maintained. Very peaceful and relaxing.”

Westside Park

Address: 1220 Woodridge Trails Dr, Fenton, MO 63026, USA

Park

“On the way home from the Saint Louis Aquarium I stopped at Wally's to refuel and pick up some snack items for a light lunch. Given that Wally's didn't have a place to sit I needed a place to casually eat. The Westside Park was close by and served this purpose well. The park is easily accessible to the main highways and is nestled at the end of a small suburban neighborhood. There is a covered seating area with park benches and an attached restroom which were fairly clean. There was also a small jungle gym area and a swing and basketball hoops. This is a small nice park if you're in the area and need a place to stop.”

Midwood Park

Address: 6908 Midwood Ave, Hazelwood, MO 63042, USA

Park

“Quiet little park”

Lone Elk Park

Address: 1 Lone Elk Park Rd, Valley Park, MO 63088, USA

Park

“Lone elk is very cool. Our family has been only 3 times now but it's been a few great experiences. You can walk trails get to see the bison, elk, deer and they even have a bird sanctuary. Although I haven't been to see the birds. There is a pretty cool lookout at the beginning of the drive. We went on a trail our last time there and got to see some bison up close. Not too close... just a great place to go and see nature and have a nice picnic. Oh we also found a dog statue I believe was a good cache. We wasn't doing the geo caches but we spotted the dog.. apologies for the camera focus.”
