“This was our first time here. Mom got the gyro plate. The meat was fresh and the sauce was one of the best i have had. He likes things done the traditional way and this place nails the bread, bacon and all the ratios for the tastiest BLT. You can’t go wrong. And the fries are out of this world. Classic comfort food. The chili is my mom’s fave with a nice cold beer. The service is terrific- they always remember us, even if it’s been a while. I was just there recently and they asked how my parents were doing. I gave this place 2 stars from the get go, honestly not even going here in the 1st place, just because they do not have shakes on their menu 😔 Which is a big deal for me. That's why Taco Bell is not my all time fast food restaurant. They could be, but again...no shakes. However, my wife dragged me here today. And being the old geezer that I am, I forgot about this review. Anyway, I ordered the simple chicken sandwich with fries, not having any high expectations. I was totally caught off guard on how good this meal was. It was just a chicken sandwich and crinkle fries. But man, it was really good! The sandwich has 3 large strips of what they call the "fillet mignon" of the chicken. Well that was correct 💯 And the spices and sauce on the chicken, AND the spices on the fries🍟was delicious 😋 I will have to try the Cole slaw next time For sure I give this $9.99 meal a 10 out of 10 for a great value delicious meal. The atmosphere was typical, and the men's bathroom was out of order. Everything was clean, and the acodoment counter was well stocked. The cashier was fine. Not friendly or unfriendly,but at least efficient. My wife's chicken salad looked too good with solid greens, and the same chicken with a different sauce of course. Anyway, do I recommend this little chicken joint? That's a big 10-4! Most definitely! And I'm sorry Huey Magoo's for the bad rating without even actually trying the food 1st. But I still don't like the fact that there are no shakes available 😔”

“This is the best donut shop I’ve ever been to! They offer a large variety of donuts, muffins and kolaches. Our favorites were the shoe lace, raspberry donut holes and crane berry and orange muffins. The service was quick and friendly! They have plenty of tables to sit inside and also a cute donut bench and table for outdoor sitting as well. I think the decor inside the store can be updated to match the quality of the donuts that they sell! The price is veryyy reasonable! I am glade we found this place while visiting Hammond!
