“We stopped on a Friday morning as it was nearby the Adler Planetarium we were going to that day. This is an order and pay up front, seat yourself kind of place. Waitstaff was very friendly, even after my 8 year old broke a bottle of hot sauce all over the floor. Food was good. My husband tried something new - Lox platter - and he loved it. I had a couple bites - excellent! Everything else our group ordered was good as well. No kids menu, but not real necessary for breakfast. I wish I could go back and try other items on the menu that looked good! They also had wonderful tasting water from a serve yourself water dispenser, infused with watermelon, oranges and I think mint - maybe something else too. Neat!”

“This was my first experience with an authentic Chicago style hotdog. The place came highly recommended from our Segway tour guide, Jen. They didn't disappoint! I am so happy that I had this place first. They set the bar so high that my wife and I started to measure everyone else to them. Good food, good people, and a great location. We ordered our food and then sat over on a bench under the trees overlooking the lake. Awesome place!”

“Great place for coffee or beer, hangout or work. My go-to cafe! There's the lovely women's park right outside, perfect to go with kids or pets! Update (Dec 2018) It has been over a year since my last review. I come here very often but I notice that their staffs never stay long. I kind of wonder why. I am also disappointed that they discontinued their roasted potatoes and homemade ketchup, they were the best! However, I enjoy the additional selection of baked goods. All the food are good, esp the soups!”
