“The food at 6978 is delicious! Our family tried everything from the catfish to the baked chicken to the pot roast. We were very pleased. But I would like to give a few pointers to help take the restaurant to the next level. First, do not stack the small round plastic containers more than three high. Our bottom containers shattered and caused the juice from the collards greens to spill. Second, as soon as dine-in guests sit down, don't forget to have someone immediately go over and get food and drink orders. We waited for several minutes before someone came to our table. I hope you guys take this constructive criticism in the most positive way possible. We are proud you have joined our neighborhood and wish you so much success!”

“I've been having my co-worker to buy us food there for the past two weeks! The food was fresh, hot, and good! The only dilemma I had was I told my co-worker to have my Italian beef LIGHTLY DIPPED! She came back with cheese on it twice and the bread too wet! Yesterday, when I sent her, the sandwich was soaked but not so bad! I just want them to INFER what it means to LIGHTLY DIP a sandwich! That means, Don't soak the ENTIRE BREAD! So, don't ask to get it lightly dipped because they will drown your sandwich! DON'T GET IT DIPPED AT ALL! The sweat and juice from the sandwich will soften it! Their meat isn't overly cooked and crumbly! My co-worker had some beautiful fish yesterday! It was gorgeous! Very nicely fried! I pass by Whales daily and have always wondered about the food! GREAT FOOD!”

“Had the Honey Biscuit mini burgers and fries. I added egg to the burgers and it tasted really good. The biscuits are legit. Meat was cooked medium like I asked and the fries were well seasoned with salt and pepper. If you don't like your fries seasoned that much, you may have to request it. Their mild sauce had a little kick to it, which made it different from typical Chicago mild sauces. Also good. Looking forward to trying other menu items.”
