“I almost consider this a neighborhood park given how close it is to RB and Poway. Good covered walks that are easy to do if you have pets. There is a speed limit of 5miles per hour, so no running and you have to be leisurely in your walking. Remember to pack a jacket if your going there later in the day as much of this is shaded.”

“Just in case anybody was wondering as I was since they don't seem to have updates on their website or FB, THE TRAIN IS STILL CLOSED due to Covid 19 as of today Sept 19th, 2020. Drove down here from Temecula on a whim to try to entertain our cabin fevered 2 year old. Good thing the Safari Park is open! The train and park looks fun though! We will be back upon confirmation that the train is up and running!”

“Tons of stairs with a clear trail. Boulders surround you has you go higher and higher. We went on a rainy day so getting up was like being in the clouds. It got cold up there too. Totally walking distance is about 8 miles. Pack accordingly. Very beautiful.”

“This is in Poway. While visiting my sister we walked around the corner and this park was amazing. It was clean. It was warm with beauty and it had an Orchestra playing the sound track from THE SOUND OF MUSIC. It was so family oriented and the air was so refreshing. It has so much to offer if you take the family out for a picnic. Or a romantic walk around the park. It reminded me of the movie, Steele Magnolias. A five star place to visit.”

“Short hike accessible from the north or south. South side has flat entry but steep incline at first fork . It flattens out a bit towards the top which loops around the backside. Tooth Rock is a large cylindrical shaped rock which appears unscalible without proper climbing gear. There are a couple tie ins. Great 360 degree views, decent photo op. We exited to the north on Tooth Rock Road ... But the had a bit of a hairy walk with kids down High Valley Road and south on Espola Road which is narrow and busy respectively. Recommend going in and out the same way. About 1.5 in from south and maybe 0.5 from the north.”

“Hiked a fun trail up Twin Peaks. Some parts are steep. Several areas are rocky enough that it’s difficult to keep your footing, even with hiking shoes. Lots of loose dirt. However the view from there is beautiful of the valley, overlooking Poway. It was great to get out of the house and get some sun.”
