(February 18, 2019, 10:25 pm)Hiked from Ellie Lane trailhead to Iron Mtn. peak and then back the same route on Feb. 16, 2019. Just under 10 miles total. Following a few rainy weeks and several inches of rain, every little gulley had running water. So nice to see and hear water running everywhere - in contrast to the usual hot and dry chaparral. No problem stepping over little streams, and very little mud to deal with. Also starting to see a lot of early blooms. Should be downright spectacular in March!
