“We got the recommendation to get our pie here from our landlord. He said they put a lot of heart in their pies. And it is so true! Flaky yummy crust, perfect filling! Not too sweet, but just right! Texture and flavor perfect. We had a slice of traditional apple pie with a scoop of cinnamon ice cream (which was also just right) and a slice of apple caramel pecan pie. Excellent. Also, we enjoyed sitting outside in the sun very much. Thank you, will come again.”

“A pretty great coffee house with a lot of options. They serve breakfast burritos as well. I enjoyed my oat milk latte and also the green tea. There is both indoor and outdoor seating. The inside is cozy and the store has a cool notice for Google reviewers up on the wall. They also have a “pay with a post-it” program where you can purchase a drink in advance for someone less fortunate. The person can take a post-it from the chalkboard and get a free drink. The only criticism I have for this place is the name of the corporation—“Beanery Corporation.” It just has a…distasteful ring to it because of its proximity to a certain derogatory term. Edit: The coffee shop has stated that “beanery” is an old, turn-of-the-century term meaning “cafe” or “cheap eats.””

“What a great little hidden gem. Stumbled across this wonderful little store while visiting Julian for the day back in June. The owner was amazing and helpful and has a wonderful and friendly pup to welcome you. She was more than happy to answer questions for us, was warm, friendly and helpful. What more can you ask for. She custom made several necklaces for us. The gem/bead selections are extensive and the prices and more than fair. Do not visit Julian without stopping in here for a minute to explore all the wonderful things she has to offer. A must return to the next time we are in Julian.”

“The pie is delicious with my favorite being the apple berry crumb. Served with ice cream or whipped cream if you like. A better quality ice cream would make it so much better. It seems the slices are smaller and the height of the pie is less. This is still a must when visiting Julian. There are many flavors of pie so you are sure to find one you love.”
