“A pretty great coffee house with a lot of options. They serve breakfast burritos as well. I enjoyed my oat milk latte and also the green tea. There is both indoor and outdoor seating. The inside is cozy and the store has a cool notice for Google reviewers up on the wall. They also have a “pay with a post-it” program where you can purchase a drink in advance for someone less fortunate. The person can take a post-it from the chalkboard and get a free drink. The only criticism I have for this place is the name of the corporation—“Beanery Corporation.” It just has a…distasteful ring to it because of its proximity to a certain derogatory term. Edit: The coffee shop has stated that “beanery” is an old, turn-of-the-century term meaning “cafe” or “cheap eats.””

“If you want to do something different from visiting the usual Gaslamp, Little Italy, North Park or going to some of the beaches, this is a great place to visit. Julian it's a beautiful mine town on the side of the mountains in San Diego County, and has to offer many different activities. We found this place in Julian to have lunch it was a great experience overall. The food is good with a homemade touch, which for me is always good because it makes it unique. The place is clean and the service is excellent. I had the pork ribs and were really good, the salad, the fries also good. The dressing apple pecan vinaigrette was delicious to accompany the salad and the berries a la mode with ice cream was outstanding. I recommend this place if you visit Julian, there were other places quite busy, and this one was great and with availability and fluid visitors coming and going.”

“The pie is delicious with my favorite being the apple berry crumb. Served with ice cream or whipped cream if you like. A better quality ice cream would make it so much better. It seems the slices are smaller and the height of the pie is less. This is still a must when visiting Julian. There are many flavors of pie so you are sure to find one you love.”
