Apple Alley Bakery

Simply, this is the best place to come to in Julian for apple pie. The staff is friendly and warm, the apple pie selections are sinful and should be illegal. It is a small place with an alley on the side. Easy to walk past - but don’t. You will be very glad you stopped here. Great coffee too!

What a little jewel this place is, tucked away on Main Street. Lots of choice of pie and plenty of seating area at the back as well as inside. We sat under the apple trees and ate the most delicious pie. I opted for the Apple crunch with some ice cream. Will definitely be going back for another visit.

Apple Alley Bakery is a great name for a place that looks situated between two buildings. The great thing about this establishment, is that there is some good outdoor dining to the side and back of the bakery.

I saw the Caramel Apple Pecan Pie, and knew I had to have it. I ordered up a slice with a cup of coffee.

The outside area is a nice place to sit and chill with your four-legged friend. The nice May Julian weather is cool and calm making it perfect to enjoy your pie outdoors in the fresh air.

The Caramel Apple Pecan Pie was even more delicious than it looked, and I enjoyed each bite from my slice. The pie was so wonderful that I ordered a whole Cherry Apple to take home.

I especially like these small mom and pop bakeries in Julian and I think their pies are among the best to be found!

Had one of the best lunches I have ever had here. Vegan sandwich was great but what really made it special was the warm boysenberry slice of pie with melting vanilla ice cream on top. FOR LUNCH!

Could barely even walk out of there I was so full

We got the recommendation to get our pie here from our landlord. He said they put a lot of heart in their pies. And it is so true! Flaky yummy crust, perfect filling! Not too sweet, but just right! Texture and flavor perfect. We had a slice of traditional apple pie with a scoop of cinnamon ice cream (which was also just right) and a slice of apple caramel pecan pie. Excellent.
Also, we enjoyed sitting outside in the sun very much. Thank you, will come again.
