I got the cheeseburger w/ fries and a soda and it was pretty good for the price point. The fries were nice hot and crispy. I came here with a friend and we both enjoyed our brunch very much. “Seams nice place, little pricey for the quality. They have Fresh corn and fresh flour tortillas…. The menudo is ok…it’s not RED like I’m used to….however I still enjoyed it. Flour Tortillas were a bit hard however the eggs con chorizo were delicious…. Also tried the huevos rancheros they were also tasty. Coffee is 2.95 per cup…. They has a pretty nice musician…he played oldies but goodies I really enjoyed his music!”

“Okay so yeah I freaking love this place! They have so many options for toppings to put in your salad. Like I'm indecisive but they let me sample the different dressings and proteins. I ended up picking the balsamic vinaigrette to go on my salad and the pesto chicken which is amazing like so freaking tasty. It was between the balsamic or fresh herb vinaigrette which is also yummy. If your a salad girl like me you'd love this place too it's great when your craving a big salad. You can put as many toppings as you want then protein is an extra charge but it's worth it for sure. “Chapps is a staple on this side of Arlington. I grew up coming here for dinner often. I love that they use Nolan Ryan beef, a delicious tribute to the Texas Rangers legend. The dining room is also decorated in tribute to Texas. The burgers are good, though the fries tend to be burnt. The philly cheesesteak was tasty, though a hit lacking in meat. I took a star off for service, which seems to have gone downhill over the years. The place wasn't busy when I arrived, but it still took a few minutes to be acknowledged and order at the front counter. My food took a while to come out, longer than expected for so few customers. Good restaurant, staff needs more training in customer service.”

Chatpate was very spicy so I would recommend to ask them about the spice level and ingredients if you don’t want too much spice. I love the Skillet combo which comes with 2 eggs your way, bacon and sausage links or patty and pancakes! The sausage links are fantastic and the pancakes are the best I have had. “This is a great place to go with a group of people. Do it family style, have everyone get something different and share. All of the food here is great but the Cabbage Pierogies are definitely my favorite. The atmosphere is calm and really cool and the staff are very friendly and accommodating and I've found it's not easy to not have a good time here. They remodeled since last time I went so they can now accommodate more seating. Just keep in mind this is not a fast food place, they cook everything to order and it is all homemade. With that being said, when I have a craving for Chinese American, my go to place in Arlington is Sesame House Express. The owners here have been serving the 76017/76013 area consistently for almost 20 years. They are some of the most committed, and nicest people around. The prices are very reasonable, and the portions are generous! If you’ve never been, go give them a visit. Times are tough for everyone right now, including local restaurants.
