“This is small restaurant that makes food fresh so there will be a wait, but it will be worth it. You need to wait to be seated. Service was great everyone was friendly even the people of Glen rose! Fried pickles fresh and hot, batter has a spicy component to it so keep that in mind. Fries are fresh cut and you will need to add salt but they are good. BLT sandwich was the best, my cheeseburger was more well done than I like but still good. Chicken tenders hot and crispy. Definitely a good place if you are looking for fresh homemade food.”

“We had a lovely stay at the Inn On The River. The room was quaint and comfortable and the owner was very hospitable and accommodating. She was very knowledgeable about the history of the Inn and the area, which made our stay even more interesting. Breakfast was tailored to our preferences and was both healthy and delicious. The location was walking distance to some shopping areas and historical sites and a short driving distance to Dinosaur Valley State Park and other local parks and attractions. I highly recommend staying here!”

“I ordered chicken fried chicken with onion rings and fried okra, my husband ordered the chicken fried steak with potatoes and corn. The food was fabulously hot and fresh! Our waitress was very friendly. Our only complaint was we would have liked a refill on our drink. I am saddened that such a nice place with hot fresh food was nearly empty. We will be back!!”

“We drove out to Glen Rose to watch the Promise on Easter weekend, not sure what to expect The Rooster 🐓 is located on a golf course in a very large barn dominium. My neighbor and I looked at each other and decided "let's" see. Glad we did, menus written on a chalkboard as you enter easy fare -pun intended- we chose sandwiches a chicken and a club with fries, got our drinks and watched the Masters. Dinner arrived with a 😊 and little fanfare. Tasty, and I was amazed Candice could eat All that chicken my club was awesome 👍. Point of interest we arrived at 17:30 only one's there by 18:30 The Rooster 🐓 was packed. Clean, Friendly, and worth your time and 💰 which was reasonable. Enjoy 😊”

“I randomly stopped in on a Wednesday for lunch by myself. I was told it was Burger Wednesday, so I went ahead and ordered one. Great choice! Hand-formed patty with the perfect amount of char on a toasted brioche bun with all the fixings. I’m usually not a fan of hand cut fries, but these were seasoned and delicious! My waitress was great! Friendly and fast. I can’t wait to bring my kids soon.”
