“Visited downtown Garland a couple weekends ago, and while roaming around, we decided to grab some takeout from The Blue Rat. It is my new favorite Thai place! The crab cream cheese puffs were so good, and you could actually see and taste the crab in them! It was the perfect ratio of filling to fried breading. For an entree, I went with the pad Thai so I could compare it to other restaurants. It had so much flavor, and the dish wasn’t dry, but actually a bit saucy. Very different from other pad Thai dishes I’ve tried. Service was fast, and the young man who took our order was friendly. If you’re in the area, I’d highly recommend stopping here for a bite!”

“This establishment started as a hidden gem in the heart of Garland a few years back. Now, 4 locations later, they managed to keep their top tier flavor and quality across the board. Personally I keep coming back to the downtown Garland location. Aside from the meaty crab and huge shrimp, the micheladas are some of the best, definitely worth the try.”
