“So the reason for the 4 stars is because of how long I had to wait for 10 pieces of cornbread I ordered to go. I waited almost an hour for it. I've eaten here before and ordered a catfish dinner, with mashed potatoes, black-eye peas and cornbread. The cornbread and black-eye peas has me hooked! They were so good! Wasn't a fan of the catfish as I was expecting fillet type fried catfish and not chicken tender type fried catfish. They were really small. The mashed potatoes were also bland to the taste and I was not told they come with white gravy. I do not eat white gravy on my mashed potatoes, only brown and it was quickly replaced. Except for these, overall the rest of the food was really good. The waitress was excellent and was very attentive to me. She even complimented my hair and outfit and this really made my day. I didn't get her name and I wish I had done so. She was really sweet. Would highly recommend eating at this place! I'd call ahead for the cornbread if just ordering cornbread, though 😅 😅!”

“We love the tacos here. They have a smoker out back that they make some of the meat in. We are locals and you will not find a healthier or more delicious taco in the area. The service is usually very quick even when they are busy. They have plenty of tables to use to enjoy your meal. Everyone we have taken here enjoys the food too. Just go and order the different type of tacos to figure out your favorites, they are all reasonably priced. The fries and burgers are great too. You can also get Pepsi or Coke products. The store is kept clean and the bathrooms are always immaculate.”

Ok, let me start by saying I was nervous thinking me and my husband might not belong, but I was wrong. We were greeted right away and told sit wherever we like. The food is why I'm making this whole review. My breakfast bowl was so huge my 3 eggs on top were over medium to perfection. And my drench toast was amazing as well. I didn't even need syrup. My husband veggies omelet was good too, and I'm someone who graves meat, but it was tasty. Guys, I ate on this food for 2 days, and it was still good. I only wish it was a tad bit cleaner. But I'd still go back real quick. Shout out to the cook. Thanks for the great food”

“My other favorite Mexican joint is also inside a gas station so I may be biased 😅. Honestly stumbled across this place on a road trip and imagined average tex-mex. NO! THIS IS BY NO MEANS AVERAGE. This place has all the best qualities of a hole in the wall authentic restaurant shoved into a gas station with a simple menu done PERFECT. I only had the tacos, beans, rice and churro. Based on how good these were though, I would be SHOCKED if anything they offer was subpar. They have some of the best meat I've ever had in a taco. Fresh off the grill , with a good amount of char on every piece. Onion, herbs , and lime on the side in a simple corn tortilla and the fresh fried churro😭🥴!! They do the simple stuff and just hit it out of the park. This is universal comfort food!”

“While I’m town for work, we found this delicious Mexican restaurant. Food is fantastic . Picture below is the #10 Mega Burrito , packed full of meats , rice and beans and whatever you like. It was crazy good. Highly recommend the beef queso , beef and chicken fajitas , and of course the MEGA BURRITO !!! Extra spicy meats are great and have really good favoring , not just heat.”

The young man behind the counter seemed upset that my kids were having a hard time figuring out what they wanted to order, but we were the only customers at the store. “This is such a hidden gem. We came here on a recommendation from a friend and were originally confused to find it in a gas station building. DONT let that run you off. I've had Indian food from upscale places all over the country in my military days that weren't nearly as amazing as this. The owner is amazingly personable and he is dedicated to service. I was getting over a cough and when he noticed me coughing he was worried the spice was too much for me and offered to add some cream sauce to my curry. He was so excited by how pleased we were with his food he gave us samples of a few other things just to be able to have us try it. He's a chef from the Disney cruise lines trying to settle down and I just KNOW that if people give him a chance he'll turn this into a one of a kind location. He cooks from his soul and you can tell. If you’re looking for a fancy date, this isn’t the place yet. If you’re looking for food that will make you close your eyes in pure joy while supporting a small owner’s dream, this is the one. “This place was crazy good. A truly outstanding plate of food in a tiny town north of Fort Worth. More people should be road tripping to eat here. My son said it could be one of the best plates of food he's had in years. He has the honey butter chicken biscuit. I had biscuits and gravy and everything was homemade and fresh. A great dining experience. It gets busy and only open for breakfast and lunch so plan accordingly. Staff was friendly and owner or manager was around and attentive.”
