“It wasn't crowded when we were there, so I can't comment on much of the atmosphere. I did enjoy the decor- there was plenty of stuff to look at on the walls. All of the employees that I interacted with were friendly and welcoming. The pizza was delicious. The salad was fresh with crispy, cold lettuce. The cinnamon sticks could have used a bit more cinnamon sugar, but that's my taste buds talking, not my waist line. 🤣 The downside is that there is only 1 stall in each restroom, so even though I only needed to wash my hands, I had to wait for someone to come out to be able to do so. Overall, a nice, comfortable place and I'd definitely go back next time we're out that way.”

“We really enjoyed our lunch. We had a very friendly server. I had the puffy taco plate with beef. My husband has the chicken taco salad . The salad was loaded with very tasty chicken 🤩 Chips and salsa were good too. The salsa was very basic but flavorful. I noticed they have a drive- thru also. Stop in and give this place a try!”

They go above and beyond in food and service speed. In Texas small towns and anywhere for that matter, great people who remember your name and order, and deliver it with speed and precision do not get enough credit. I was seriously impressed with my meal (barbacoa, flautist, fajitas, and carne asada), and I love watching owners run the front and take care of their clients at the table. I truly believe the family is doubling down on the customer experience, the food, and it shows. Loved all of the salsa, but the creamy avocado was the bomb. Looking forward to stopping by again! (I was excited to see that Texas Monthly honored them with a booth at the world BBQ fair 2022.. they deserve it!)”

“WOW! What an incredible place. Their BBQ brisket is the best. The crust is simple and tasty. They cook the brisket for a long time and it is obvious by the perfectly rendered fat. It was the best brisket I had all day (and I had a lot from different places). I cannot speak to the sides, but the brisket is amazing. The hot room is huge. This place is such a throwback to traditional BBQ. I really like the history of the place. If you are in Austin, make the drive to Lockhart to Kreuz Market--you will be glad you did!”

“This place is a real gem located off the beaten path in Lockhart. The service was excellent and the food was amazing. Portions are large and full of flavor. Ingredients are fresh and well prepared. We will definitely be returning. I heard good things about the crawfish Mac n cheese that I absolutely have to try next time. I highly recommend you stop in and try this place. You will likely make it one of your favorite spots to eat. I have attached a pic of their shrimp and grits on a bed of spinach and the shrimp and shrooms cooked in a white wine cream sauce. Both dishes were superb!”

“First of all, I'm thankful that there are still pizza places that you can sit and eat at. Let's hit the important stuff. The restaurant is clean! Looking back in the kitchen, it looks organized. Carpets have been swept. I ordered a 6 count wings, fries and a 9" pizza. The wings are definitely better than Dominos and surprisingly better than the pizza I ordered. They were crispy and hot all the way through. Same with the fries. I got Cajun seasoning and highly recommend that. Pizza was average. Service was slightly slow but very kind and pleasant. First time here and probably will be careful going back because the bill seemed high. Small fries 6 count wings Small pepperoni, bacon, olive pizza Soda $32.41 /$40 tip included”
