“We were pleasantly surprised by this little out-of-the-way place. There was a large parking lot with ample handicap spots available. The lobby was spacious, plenty of room if there would be a wait. We were there around 1 pm with a large party of 20 adults, always a challenge when eating out together, and seated almost immediately. The service was simply excellent and the staff was so friendly and accommodating. Everyone was very pleased with their meal. They offer a full-size menu, (I mean HUGE!) something that most restaurants eliminated during Covid and didn't bring back. (If you say the menu is "typical," then you're just plain impossible to please and nothing ever makes you happy.) With that, there are lunch options until 3 p.m., and plenty of affordable menu options in addition to more complex dishes. The salsa runs on the hotter side which we absolutely loved. I ordered Pollo San Juan and it was, hands down, the BEST Mexican meal I've had in ages! It had the best combo of flavors and the cheese sauce was out of this world! Hubby ordered Texas Fajitas and he was equally pleased. If you're looking for some great, authentic Mexican food, this would certainly be worth the drive around Middle Tennessee. This place is over an hour from our home but we WILL be back!”

“I had been to one of these establishments in Paducah and for me to find one on my way home I was just so happy. I ordered a Chicken Salad BLT sandwich with Olivia’s Old South with Broccoli Cheddar Soup and a Watermelon Tea. I didn’t like that the lettuce had brown spots all over it so I threw most of that away. I enjoyed the food though. Very filling and less than $20 for 1 person.”

“This Little Caesars location is always busy and popular in Goodletsville. I always order my pizzas right there and wait, 15 minutes or less my order is ready, correct & delicious. Newer management is why this location is back on the ball. They open at 10:30 AM and I will be their first customer today I bet... It's 10:05 AM! I recommend trying their "Stuffed Crust" it truly is better than Papa John's and Pizza Hut stuffed crust pizzas. Crust taste like crazy bread and cheese bread combination with cheese in the middle, yum. Enjoy, I sure will.”

We ordered the country fried steak breakfast, home fries, and biscuit and gravy, eggs over easy and a BLT with grits. The BLT was excellent. The toast and bacon were nice crisp. Just enough lettuce to add the taste and a slice of tomato that had a good flavor. Grits were cooked with the right combination of salt and pepper to give them a good taste. The country fried steak was a generous portion covered with country gravy. The biscuit with covered with the same gravy. The gravy had a good pepper flavor. The eggs were cooked as ordered.”

“Top Hog has some of the BEST catfish in middle Tennessee. We ordered the catfish platter and the hamburger. The catfish filets are cooked to perfection! For the sides, we chose the white beans with onions and chow chow (which were really good) and the collard greens (the greens are really spicy, even for someone who likes spicy) so be prepared if you choose them! We also had an order of onion rings, which have a nice flavor with a thick semi crunchy batter. You can’t go wrong choosing to eat here! A couple of things to note, the prices are very reasonable (especially for the portions you get) they seem to be super busy at lunch and dinner time (could wait 30-40 min for table) and they only accept cash or check, no credit cards! Having said that, it’s worth the wait as well as the cash!”

“The food was good but it wasn’t as good as it could be because it wasn’t made with 100% Mexican ingredients like most truly authentic Mexican restaurants are in the southwest. My chicken enchilada tasted like it had some type of cheese whiz in it. I’m not sure if that’s what it was, and it was alright but authentic is better. The chips were very good. They were light and tasty and the salsa was a perfect blend of tasty and just the right amount of spice. Cindy had seafood tacos. I took a bite and they were absolutely delectable, they were nearly perfect white meat fish that was light and sweet. I’d go again. I would encourage you to try it too.”
