“Well worth the 10 minute detour off I-40 on the east side of Oklahoma City! Totally lived up to the positive reviews! I had the ribs-my husband had the brisket- both delicious- the spice rub on the ribs was tasty as was the sauce. Plenty to eat if you are hungry (we couldn’t finish it). The people who waited on us were very warm and friendly! It was a beautiful day to sit outside and enjoy our lunch. Just be aware, it’s limited to outdoor seating, which could be tough on a rainy or cold day. Great place- don’t pass it by!”

They do have alcohol there, hence being called a "bar," but it's all about dessert drinks and great desserts. “It's been a bit since I've been to a Popeye's and they have done better than I expected. This location was well kept inside and the layout was good. The staff was awesome. Forgot his name but visited 6/9/23 and the guy who took my order inside was pretty awesome. Got takeout and really enjoyed what I got. The price was a bit much for what I got but hey that's everywhere these days. Tried the hot wings and they were super yummy, and not overwhelming. Flavor was awesome! Definitely a new once in a while place for me now.”

“Such a unique place to enjoy a meal. Horse racing was fun. The biggest downsides is that the service is a little slow (but you’re are typically going to go here just to eat and leave, you’re going to want to stay a bit) and it is a long walk from the car to get to the restaurant. Lots of glass to be able to see the horses from every seat in the restaurant. It was a lot of fun.”

“The service was really good. The place was huge, and it was pretty nice inside. We didn't have to wait for a table at lunch time on a Saturday. The food came out fast. My husband had lemon pepper wings, which were some of the best wings we've had. The Cajun chicken pasta was tasty, but not enough pasta. For $17, I should have had some leftovers to go, also it came with a sweet roll instead of garlic bread. I hate to nitpick, but it was a little pricy. They need to upload their newest menu because a lot of the stuff I saw on the menu here was not on the new one, and all the items were a bit more expensive than shown here. The wings were $12. The cocktails listed were also really pricy and sugary, they have a full bar and were able to do a simple cocktail for less though! I would try this place again but get something different.”

“This place has been here for decades. I used to hit this place back in middle and high school in the late 80s/early 90s. It's within walking distance and the prices were really good for back in the day. I moved away and it wasn't so convenient to grab anymore. Started to find myself in the area again and started going back. It hasn't changed much. I'd still choose this over the fast food offerings. This is a hole in the wall. The ladies working are (and always have been) great. The tables and chairs are wobbly in the SMALL dining room. On nice days, just head out to the patio. The ladies will bring your food out to you but they have to dodge the parking lot traffic to do so. So be patient. Safety First =)”

“Okay so, I’ve been back because I did notice the sign back up. The staff is super friendly. We go here several times a week now. I have brought up more than once that their handicap sign is missing, apparently I need to contact someone other than the store. Everyone without placards park there now. It is NOT clearly marked. It has no sign and the painting on the ground is very faded. Once I brought it up and a customer started arguing with me and getting a little belligerent. Just tried again and nothing has changed. Will just go elsewhere from now on.”

“This was the first restaurant in Oklahoma City I've visited and it set the bar insanely high for other restaurants. The food, the drinks, the vibes, everything was so damn good. Double order of fajitas was also fantastic the sear and flavor on the steak was way better than the chicken however the chicken was as well packed with flavor. Atmosphere was friendly and inviting very clean and organized. Did not care for the cilantro rice tasted like the Uncle Ben's rice from Walmart. The regular tomato base Spanish rice is great as well as the refined beans.”
