“It's been a bit since I've been to a Popeye's and they have done better than I expected. This location was well kept inside and the layout was good. The staff was awesome. Forgot his name but visited 6/9/23 and the guy who took my order inside was pretty awesome. Got takeout and really enjoyed what I got. The price was a bit much for what I got but hey that's everywhere these days. Tried the hot wings and they were super yummy, and not overwhelming. Flavor was awesome! Definitely a new once in a while place for me now.”

“Such a unique place to enjoy a meal. Horse racing was fun. The biggest downsides is that the service is a little slow (but you’re are typically going to go here just to eat and leave, you’re going to want to stay a bit) and it is a long walk from the car to get to the restaurant. Lots of glass to be able to see the horses from every seat in the restaurant. It was a lot of fun.”

“Azteca combo was packed with flavor and was great. Double order of fajitas was also fantastic the sear and flavor on the steak was way better than the chicken however the chicken was as well packed with flavor. Atmosphere was friendly and inviting very clean and organized. Did not care for the cilantro rice tasted like the Uncle Ben's rice from Walmart. The regular tomato base Spanish rice is great as well as the refined beans.”

“I came in for their daily special, it was their smoked pork sandwich w/ two sides. I chose macaroni n cheese and a hearty serving size of the fried okra for my sides. Portion sizes were very well considering that I ate every last bite. 1 drink would cause you to bloat up. The pork sandwich did not have condiments but the sandwich was completely loaded. Some meat will fall out of the sandwich despite the massive bun size. The meat was fairly moist and the smoke flavor popped among the subtle seasonings. The BBQ sauce was the best part of the plate. I had the spicy BBQ sauce but the heat was a perfect blend of sweet and hot. It wasn't overbearing or enough to force me to hydrate. Mixed with the Pork sandwich, created an amazing combination. Fair price for a good size meal. The setting is very American. I'm sure I'll be back for more in the near future. Thank you 🥪”

The order was ready when we arrived, and all of the items we ordered were present. Like lots of food truck in the south side, it is cash only! “As y’all know by now, you know if it’s a sushi place, Mrs. Flip Out went there with her friends, so she’s taking over this review. I hadn’t tried this restaurant before and it had great reviews. Some friends and I met for lunch and Ichiban did not disappoint!Everything had great flavors. I forgot to take a picture of the clear broth soup but it was very good. The yellow monkey roll was delicious, and my friends’ sushi orders were as well. If you like matcha ice cream, it was definitely worth getting and large enough to share. Service was very prompt and attentive. I really enjoyed the experience and would go again.”

Crispy and seasoned perfectly on the outside and fluffy and tender in the inside. The okra is also super crispy and breaded with wonderful seasoning. The Mac and cheese is creamy and flavorful. “From the moment you walk in the door to the moment you leave you are always feeling welcomed. The wait staff are amazing and the food is wonderful. The salads are not just a dinner salad they have eggs and bacon all of the good stuff in there. To top it off you get a huge fresh baked croissant. I believe the croissant has a very tiny honey drizzle some kind of sweetness over the top of it and it is so tasty. The I had the prime rib. I always like mine cooked a little bit more so I asked for it medium and it was cooked to perfection. So tender you can cut it with a fork. Loaded baked potato there's not much you can say about that it is full of cheese sour cream butter and goodness chives in there it was really really good. Then we had the carrot cake for dessert it is a huge piece. There was three of us we could share it. They serve it warm so the frosting kind of drizzles over the side. The nuts being warm in there give it that much more of a nutty warm wonderful winter flavor. There is what I believe to be like maple sugar crunches or something of that sort on top to give it a crunch before you buy into the soft yummy cake. I would probably just go back to have a salad and eat that carrot cake. You can't have all sugar but I would try that was so good. They have a very good sweet tea by the way do recommend that.”

I seen a lot of comments about bad service, well they don't give you bad service they are just not going that extra mile like a waiter at a fancy restaurant would but their service is just fine. “I love this place. Awesome bar, atmosphere, menu. Good variety with surf and turf or a po boy. I've had most of the seafood pastas and they're amazing. All that said the wait staff forgot to put in our tables orders twice and had to be reminded or canceled. Also, on a regular night, the wait on the food has been 30 to 50 minutes. That knocks down a star for me.”
