“For Parents: there is a very small playground here with a few slides. Overall this is a fine park, but the playground is tiny and not well-maintained. There is a pavilion, volleyball court, 2 horse shoe courts, bathrooms, outdoor showers, boat launch and grills. The entire area is fenced in.”

“Had a great experience last weekend, worked with Ann and got a 50 AMP full hookup for a Friday-Monday stay. Awesome sunrise views with water and some beautiful wooded areas. Fished from bulkhead with little success due to the heat and time of day but we enjoyed the quiet relaxed atmosphere. Nice open areas to explore or walking the dog. The folks there are great, the campgrounds are well groomed, trash removal pickup close to sites. We were not on the waterfront but had a site on the pull through center section but still could enjoy the water view from there.We live in Virginia Beach just so it's in easy striking distance and we will be back!”

“Every staff member we encountered was very helpful and courteous. We were fortunate enough to be able to move from one of the campers to one of the cottages. The trailers are just too small for our comfort which included 4 people. We're excited about the water taxi that's coming soon. The only issue we had that was cured by moving into one of the cottages was the cleanliness of the campground bathhouse. I encourage you to focus more attention on the bathhouse. Other than that it was a very pleasant and relaxing vacation. Thank You!”

“Apparently Google maps takes you nowhere near anything you can use nor anywhere to park. All the sand you can eat, if you follow their directions though. Good luck. The parking lot for the boardwalk is less than a mile before where Google has you going. There's maybe a dozen parking spots there. Nice boardwalk and one small trail through the woods.”

“I have hunted ducks and geese for more than 50 years and I experienced one of the best days hunting I have ever experienced. Aaron, the fourth generation, is an award winning goose caller. He is both a very easy guy to get along with and an excellent guide. He has guided in New York, Virginia and North Carolina. He has great places to hunt and the scissors rig is a great way to hunt. I drove all the way from Rhode Island to hunt with him and will return in February for snow geese. His prices are fair and very reasonable. If you want to have a great time give Aaron a call. He even lets you call before you leave to make sure the birds are in. I have never known any other outfitter to allow something like that. I don't think you can go back.”

“Nice little campground right on the Currituck Sound, good sites right on the water with electric hook ups, drinkable water and a little shade at some tent sites... Recommend bringing wood if you can, not much to scrounge from but available to purchase at Campground store on site, with plenty of supplies. Would definitely come back”
