“My family's overall 5 day experience staying at Blackbeard's treasure house was awesome! I gave it 4 stars only because the internet connection was terrible. We tried to watch movies with our firestick but could not connect. There was only a few channels that you could watch. No lifetime or TNT 😞 but other than the TV/internet issues we had a blast. Sherrie was very nice and easy to work with. Any and everything you could had needed as far as cooking utensils were available. We were there for Thanksgiving and it was great. I look forward to returning to Blackbeard's treasure house!”

“This is such a great find! We rented our own kayaks, they offer two hour rentals, and navigated our way around the maze-like channels. They offered great directions and a map, and even though it was midday we had lots of great wildlife sightings (many egrets, pair of osprey, various aquatic life and countless beautiful dragon flies). I imagine the sunset tour or early morning tours would have offered even better viewing but for us this was perfect. Highly recommend!”

“My family had a blast at Dune Fabulous. The house was clean and spacious. The only downfall was the deck, wobbly railing and boards not securely screwed into the support beams. I did not allow the kids in the hot tub on the scary deck.”

“Coolest place I’ve ever rented a kayak! Prices were reasonable, employees were friendly, and it’s very close to the Corolla Marsh, so we were able to see all sorts of wildlife, including tons of birds, otters, nutria, etc. The area is pretty sheltered from the wind so it’s a relatively easy ride and the marsh is extensive, with tons of channels and inlets to explore!”

“Wife and I greatly enjoyed our tour last week. It was enjoyable the first hour or so but honestly we had a concern at the time we wouldn't see any horses. We understood from the get go, they are wild animals living in a big area and no one has control of where they are. Jeff (hope that is the correct spelling), our guide did a great job. He was very entertaining throughout and was very focused on us seeing horses. With his expertise we ending up seeing 14-15 horses on the tour. We recommend this tour highly.”

“I highly suggest booking wild horse tours with Corolla Jeep Tours. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable about the wild horses and local history. He made the tour interesting, stopping at several places to give us detailed information about that location. The vehicles are great! The seats all face forward and have staggered heights so the row in front of you doesn't block your view. This also makes it easier to look around at the different sites. We've been on tours where the seats gave each other. This seating arrangement makes it harder to look around. Again, I highly recommend Corolla Jeep Tours!”

“We had an amazing time on our tour this morning. This was our first guided tour experience and we couldn't have asked for a better time. What made me decide to go with Corolla Jeep Adventures was the guy who answered the phone when we called to confirm pricing and availability--he was very friendly and offered us their group discount of $10 off per person for our group of 6 adults. It turns out each company charges about the same amount, but our tour guide, Marine John, really seemed to go above and beyond the call of duty. He really did a phenomenal job. He was passionate about his job and extremely knowledgeable about just about everything--from nature to the fighter jets that flew over. We also took a ride up the the second largest living sand dune, Penny's Hill and even saw a Harem (a small group of horses) there! The safari ride itself was bouncy and tons of fun all on its own. It was slated to last 2 hours, but took about 2.5. We saw lots of horses, egrets, a family of ospreys and dolphins. I can honestly say it was some of the best money we've spent while here on vacation. We all agree--and we wouldn't hesitate to come back.”

“We did a tour with John barker this week and he was a fantastic guide! So knowledgeable about the beaches, residents, history of the mustangs and even their names! These are an endangered species and this adventure tour company is the ONLY one in OBX that takes a portion of proceeds to focus on buying out land to preserve for the horses - all the others don’t! We will for sure be booking with them again next year to support them on the mission to save the horses, and the drive on the beach was sooo fun too!”

“The resort is very well maintained and pretty. The staff was very helpful. My 9 year old loved the trolley and several of the kids activities. We appreciated that you didn't have to go far for restaurants or activities. The only downside was the limited hours for the pools and sports center.”

“I stayed at this vacation home for 13 weeks during my travel assignment as a traveling speech pathologist. Not only was the scenery of the bay breathtaking, but the house was absolutely perfect for everything I needed. It is so cozy with plenty of room which came in handy when I had family & friends visiting! It is equipped with everything so I did not have to move anything except my clothes & personal belongings! Michelle was more than accommodating with anything that I may have needed & answered any questions I had. I highly recommend this home for anyone needing a quiet, safe place to stay with a waterfront view or for a long term rental; I couldn't have asked for a better experience!”
