Currituck Banks Reserve

Beautiful boardwalk trail that takes you to the bay side. There are informational signs that tell you about the wildlife and the general area. This is a great spot for sunset. Make sure to bring bug spray! There is also an optional off boardwalk nature trail you can do.

Apparently Google maps takes you nowhere near anything you can use nor anywhere to park. All the sand you can eat, if you follow their directions though. Good luck.

The parking lot for the boardwalk is less than a mile before where Google has you going. There's maybe a dozen parking spots there. Nice boardwalk and one small trail through the woods.

This is a pretty area. The scenery is great for pictures. It was recommended that we go there to try to see horses. On this day, no horses were around. We did see fish jumping up and falling back into the water which was funny to see. My dad said that is actually the fish trying not to be eaten by a predator. Oops. Sorry fish. I'm not sure how a wheelchair would do on the path. I did see a stroller. Though those are narrower. Hopefully someone who uses a wheelchair can comment on their experience.
