“Amazing food and awesome staff! I came here with my significant other for a causal dining experience, and that was exactly what we got. When you walk in, you order and pay at a counter. They have a big menu on the wall with everything that you could ever want. The items can be a little pricey, but nothing crazy. You then can seat yourself at one of their booths or tables, and they will bring you your food. The food tasted like authentic New York food, and the seasoned fries were probably the best fries I’ve ever had. The portion sizes are huge, so you’ll definitely have more for later (a total plus). I recommend coming here if you love Italian, crave pizza, or just want to try something new!”

“Views and location are fantastic. Certain menu options are overpriced or small portion size (i.e. salmon). Fish and chips were decent. Note, in peak hours, parking is a challenge. Service was quick and helpful. Part of the restaurant is open to reservations, part is only first come-first serve, which is convenient.”

“Love this little trolley by the lake! They have limited flavors but it's a different experience all together to buy from here than a commercial store. There are little benches and some chairs to sit around too. A little tiny bench for the little ones and some water bowls for your lovely pooches :) cant go wrong with the location of this.”

“Y'all, you have got it try this place out! Overwhelmed by the drink selection for margaritas, the chips and queso (to die for), and the tacos are street style and they come one by one and you order as many as you like but everything was amazing and no disappointments 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾!!! I wanted to be near the water this summer or I could just sit and eat and enjoy the views the warm sun maybe even makes new friends. So I reached out on the neighborhood app and ask those around me where is a good place to go and everybody loves. The outpouring response that I got was beautiful and amazing and I've tried this one as well as another one area and they both provide a unique experience all its own. But considering this place was the one place everybody talked about the most because of the margaritas and the tacos but mainly The margaritas LOL!!! Now by no means I'm not going to tell you that this is Taco Bell or anything like this cuz it's good quality food good quality drinks and I haven't even told you about the view yet so go to spend a little money on yourself because it's definitely well worth it! So the location yes it is on the lake to the point where if you're on a boat you can even pull right on up with your boat and park come in have a little something to eat a little drink and then head on out! I'm not sure but the seasonal hours are because everything is outside and there's no indoor seating at all. So I would definitely say go by yourself and go with some buddies or maybe even on a date night, but it definitely is worth it and if you beg to differ then there's something wrong with you haha! Because it's it by the water to enjoy the sunshine in the tranquility that is around I feel like you just can't let anything get you down. So go see my girl Kate she is a drop dead gorgeous young lady, men I do not know if she is single I did not ask that I guess she was just have to go and ask for her and be nice tip generously they work hard but be nice cuz I will ask her haha! So if you've gone to this point in Reading and you're not on your way to go get you a margarita I need you to question why not and get in the car and go... Now!!! Happy Summer! 💜💜💜”

“I'm torn on how to rate Hazelwood. I went for Sunday brunch and enjoyed my meal and drinks quite thoroughly. The issue is that the server messed up my order. They immediately recognized it and profusely apologized (to the point it made me feel awkward like I was being a jerk when all I was doing was saying it's fine, mistakes happen). I ordered their Fried Chicken Biscuits and Gravy. It was absolutely delicious. Other than the order mix up the service was spot on and I would have no issues with the same server on my next visit - yes I plan to go again. This would be an easy 5 stars if not for the mix up. In the end it still is because everything was delicious, they made the situation right, and the rest of my parties service and food was spot on as well. Everyone should remember, mistakes happen. How you recover is important and Hazelwood recovered as best as possible.”
