“This is the best donut shop I’ve ever been to! They offer a large variety of donuts, muffins and kolaches. Our favorites were the shoe lace, raspberry donut holes and crane berry and orange muffins. The service was quick and friendly! They have plenty of tables to sit inside and also a cute donut bench and table for outdoor sitting as well. I think the decor inside the store can be updated to match the quality of the donuts that they sell! The price is veryyy reasonable! I am glade we found this place while visiting Hammond! We will definitely be back again!”

“I'm not a connoisseur of food. However, I am very, very selective and picky with what I eat. I must say I was kind of iffy about going to this restaurant. I hadn't heard of it before and I wasn't very sure about it. However, what I was interested in was a southern meal that kind of stood out from your regular meal that someone may cook at home. So, when I ran across from a random search of restaurants the Johnson's Kitchen restaurant my son and I hopped in the car and decided to give it a try. The inside of the restaurant was warm clean actually surprisingly well/comfortably designed with a homey feel. Now, I must say like me my son I am very picky. He's 12. When he first bit in his food he exclaimed. And to me that's to say a lot. I was immediately comfortable with the idea of eating the food because I knew from that the food was probably pretty good. And everything I bit into was absolutely delicious. The portions were definitely great.The one thing I love about a great meal is not only does it look very good, it actually tastes just as good as good as it looks! Needless to say, we've ( my son and I) already talked about how satisfied 😌 we were with our meals expressing how much we needed to go back! Anyway for you people looking for a good restaurant to go to I thought I'd let you know. Good luck and happy eating!”

“I was a regular buying cigarettes at this place until an incident took place. I had about $5 in change to buy a pack of cigs. My normal pack cost around $7 in which I didn't have nor have I ever smoked cheap cigarettes so I wouldn't know how much they cost. When I asked what their cheapest pack of cigarettes were this lady snapped at me and told me "If you don't need cigarettes you shouldn't be buying them". Therefore I walked out and took my money somewhere else. It was just rude. I'm giving this place four stars only because of one lady that normally was the clerk when I would buy my regular cigarettes. She was the sweetest.”

“My first time visiting today . Upon arrival I wasnt too impressed with the outside. Maybe they haven't had time to clean the area or keep the lawn mowed. I asked the cashier for a suggestion since it was my first time and she said the shrimp po-boy is always a hit. I ordered a half shrimp po-boy combo and half chicken philly for my daughter. The cashiet was very nice, she informed that they are working on the patio area and redesigning the place. My shrimp po-boy was ok. My bread fell apart so I ate the shrimp and bread separately . The shrimp was seasoned well. Unfortunately my fries were in my daughter's plate. She said the sandwich was flat but seasoned good ..Not too much meat but ok for the sandwich flatness. She enjoyed MY fries. Overall I probably will try again yo see what else they have to offer to give a better review.”

“The loaded french fries was delicious 🤤 I could eat just that and be satisfied. I could eat that everyday. We also had a grilled shrimp wrap, and the boulevard burger 🍔. The place is nicely done and the booths were cushioned and not hard like some places. You get caned drink's or bottled water for drinks. No alcohol despite having a bar inside. I would definitely tell people to check this out!”

“Great steakhouse, centrally located to an amazing area. It's definitely worth a visit if you're interested in a steak while near the university. Priced reasonable and portions are appreciable. While I found the ribeye steaks tasty and cooked to perfect, the thicker filet was a bit overcooked. At the table, we also had the tuna, which looked to be cooked perfect to the order. Stuffed mushrooms and onion rings are definitely a must try option. While overall our party was pleased, I was a bit disappointed by the side dishes. Creamed spinach and sweet potato were both luke warm and not in the same culinary category as the meal. Stop o this place out. Get an order of mushrooms and a slab of meat. Enjoy.”

“Had a plate lunch here recently. One of the Thursday specials - BBQ pork steak. Came with dirty rice, mac n cheese and baked beans. Overall what a score. Most folks could make two meals out of this! Pork steak was a little dry and places but overall very enjoyable. We already plan to be back on a Monday for red beans. I'm a little on the fence about the boudin ball I had - it didn't seem to stand up to what I've had from west of the river, but I'm gonna be back for boudin only and get a better idea!”
