If you want to “camp” on concrete, this isn’t for you, but if sand, surf, flip flops and shorts on a South Louisiana fishing island is your thing, you must stay at Sarah’s. Snowbird? Yes! Families? “We enjoyed our stay here. The best RV spot on the Island in our opinion. The host is super nice and the property is well maintained. The common area is awesome, to grill, play games or just hang out on the porch swing is ideal. Not to mention the beach is just across the street. Grand Isle is still rebuilding after hurricane Ida, however there are restaurants and grocery stores open to get what you need. The new marina is also open. Nice deck bar opened on the weekends.”

“This camp is perfect and affordable for all your family needs and in a great location. It’s across the road from the beach with easy access to the beach. It’s close to stores and snowball stand. The screened in area is really nice. The camp is clean and very roomy. The camp owner is very responsive and professional. He did everything to please his customers. I gave five stars because it’s really nice and a bargain. My only complaints would be as another person stated is the A/C at 74 is a little warm for me and took a little while to cool at night and the wagon shown in the picture is locked so I had to carry more to beach than I wanted. Like I said no real complaints because it’s great and I understand locking personal belongings so it’s there and in working order when you need it yourself. All in all you won’t find better deal for the size, and extras this camp offers. Thanks Camp Laid Back we enjoyed our stay back in June.”

“The workers are very kind and polite, the rooms are fresh and comfortable! The room has a small kitchen with a well sized fridge that also has a small freezer, an electric stove and a microwave. Lots of wall plugs in case you need to charge mutiple phones or decives, even some usb ports. The wifi is decent too!”

“5 women visiting for the Migratory Bird Fest. Perfect in every way. The only drawback is that there is no closet, no chest of drawers for clothes. A simple remedy would be hooks in bedrooms. Small detail when everything else was so thoughtfully done.”

“The new owners are absolutely wonderful. They are friendly and the atmosphere at the marina is the best on the island if you're looking for a place to have a good time during your stay at the island. There is always something going on on the weekends at the marina weather its a band or DJ, even a fireworks extravaganza for 4th of July. The grill at the marina has great food at a very reasonable price. If you're on the island and looking for a good time, check out grand isle marina. You won't be disappointed!”

“Grand Isle state park is one of the Louisiana beachfront vacation destination. This place is perfect for Summer time weekend gateway. You can experience gulf of mexico, and you can wade into the water most of any time of year. You will see lots of productive fishermen caring wild fishes. Liked this place, it has long wide beaches and not too deep water. This place is good for camping, fishing, bringing your kids.”

“I stayed here for 6 months while on a travel assignment and I absolutely loved it. The park manager, Shawn and his wife Leeann are the nicest people and they go out of their way to take care of the park and the tenants. The park is clean, quiet and I felt safe while staying here. There is a laundry unit on-site which is always kept clean by Leeann (she does a great job and puts a lot of effort into it!) and Shawn was always available to get quarters from which was so convenient. I had food delivered here on a few occasions and no one ever had a problem finding the park. I loved that I was close to everything but it wasn’t directly in the middle of the city. I would absolutely stay here again and would recommend anyone to stay here if passing through or staying long term in New Orleans!”

“We had an amazing experience today. Last minute after our air boat tour we saw the sign and called and went. CJ took us out and had so much fun. He knew exactly where the fish are and we all had the time of our lives. We met his family and their flier wasn’t lying saying they treat everyone like family. Truly an amazing business I recommend to everyone who comes to New Orleans. I’ll be bringing back my family to do this too!!!!!”

“Went fishing today with this charter. The group of guys were awesome. Our captain was Ken and he made sure we caught the fish. He took us to many different locations to fish and not just sitting in a spots which were not very active. He is very patient especially if you get the hook stuck on rocks, tall grass or even a post!! He has passion for what he does and it shows in his character! He also recommended taking some of our fish to a restaurant down the road called Voleo's For a reasonable price they cooked the fish up to 3 different ways for you. Blackened was amazing!! “Literally the cutest place on the planet! Amazing hospitality, down to earth good hearted owners! What they did was amazing here! They built this Tiny House on their property and a share of the profits go to orphans in the Ukraine! So much detail and beauty in the Tiny House! The views are amazing, fresh farm eggs from the chickens on the property are available and there are lamas! We had a great time and definitely would recommend anyone to stay here!”

“Check in was very quick and the man was very nice. They have a large grass area for the dogs, with a poop bag dispenser. Room 140 was clean and in very good repair. Bed was comfortable and linens were nice. Toilet is low which is great for kids, but may be an issue for some seniors used to a taller toilet. Will definitely stay again.”
