They everything from a merry-go-round to paddle boats, trains, bouncy house and more. If you haven’t been, do it! It’s a super fun family activity, and they have a picnic area on the pirate ship. What’s not to love?!”

Busse Forest Main Dam

Address: Elk Grove Village, IL 60007, USA

Park

“This is my HAPPY PLACE! I bike, kayak hang out on Sundays grilling with my husband and have celebrated many Father’s Days there. Sadly, the nature is governed and controlled by those who run the preserves. Our first tree and picnic spot they let become overrun by weeds right off the entrance at the Main Dam off Arlington Hgts Road, saying “ it’s bad for the environment to run the mowers”. Our second tree was CANCELED because they deemed the species as unhealthy for the environment to prosper and to my devastation.. chopped it down!! I was in tears! So many memories and such a beautiful serene spot with nice shade if you need it because my husband burns … OUR TREE…GONE FOREVER 😢”
