“The best part of the Chicago Botanic Garden. The bride across the water to get there was an attraction in itself... very cool! The care of the landscaping is breathtaking here. Make sure you make it to the second, smaller island as well. The paths are clever and the are lots of hidden areas to find and explore. The Zen garden at the top of the hill was a treat.”

“The park was average until now. A renewal and significant expansion project of the playground equipment is currently underway (September 2018). The new playground should be exciting. Now re-opened (January 2019) in its expanded form, with a large play structure, curved swingset line, picnic tables, paved walkways, and limited-length ziplines. One former Park Board Commissioner expressed wonder and delight in early 2018 that Glencoe would be installing ziplines in a park.”

“Well maintained nature park in the middle of the Wilmette neighborhood. Quaint little park for all ages and activities. Kids can enjoy finding turtles, butterflies, fishes and bull frogs. You could read a book on one of those benches under the shade or walk the little loop while I you hear birds chirping. Totally can't hear that busy road.”

The love and care that goes into this unique ballpark is like no other. The walls of flowers (including in hanging baseball batting caps) and the tchotchkes are perfectly manicured and placed. Even a basket of blankets for cool nights! It’s like a walk back in time to America’s true pastime. Can’t wait to go back.”
