“First things first. I really liked how clean and crisp the venue was. Obviously I loved all the cultural heritage hanging around. (I would add some "explanatory history" though). The personnel was really nice. Although I think they have to open up more a bit. Feels like the stuff is a bit closed and insecure at first. But the gentleman (Izzat) serving my table was reeealy knowledgable and helpful. I actyally was surprised how good he was recommending wine selection and describing the possible taste of the wine. The menu is a funny but necessary mix of the eastern and western cuisines with a Mediterranean touch of course. I wish the best of luck to the venue and will definitely come back. P.S. It's great for private parties as well. So you should come and see for yourself.”

“Lovely pub-style restaurant with a good selection of beers and whiskey / bourbon. They had non-alcoholic beer on the menu which is a big plus. We had the 3 alarm burger and the pulled pork sandwich. The burger was fantastic according to my friend - he said it was a game changer in fact. The medium rare came out perfect, very tasty and juicy. The pulled pork sandwich was also great, loved the sweetness of the bbq sauce and the crispy onion rings. Best to book a table on busier nights to avoid long wait times.”

“This place is actually very cool. They offer a wide range of different kind of soups. They also have a lot of sides. I got the cheesy garlic potato soup with the garlic grilled ham and cheese. “Burgers— The dankest of burgs. The menu is simple, and the burgers are perfected. It’s vaguely reminiscent of In ‘n’ Out, which is why I was recommended in the first place. I haven’t eaten in the restaurant/ bar before but I most definitely will be in the future, as well as bringing friends from out of state here. This is definitely a gem of the North Chicago suburbs. The ambience of the place is super chill and even know it’s close quarters, it feels spacious enough to where you feel comfortable. The staff are all super friendly, and the overall vibe/ atmosphere of this place is very relaxing. On top of the burgers being phenomenal. Would 10/10 recommend this place to anyone looking for a great burger, or just a chill spot to grab a drink and watch the game. (Also— super family friendly. It basically has all the comforts of a “Cheers” style dive bar/ a nice hole-in-the-wall burger joint/ and a comfortable/ quaint family diner, all in one. It does almost feel like you’re near the water too, at a marina style restaurant because of the atmosphere and decor inside. Yet, also like you’re at a ma & pop’s burger shop/ diner/ bar. And again, the burgers are so good! You really can’t go wrong with this place.”

“The food was pretty great. Despite being slightly less crispy than I like, the calamari was perfectly cooked. No tentacles though. The house salad was shared with four people, so it’s pretty big and nicely refreshing. All the main dishes were good and the white fish was cooked perfectly! The place is very small and tables are close together. Get there early or you’ll wait at least 90 mins for a table. The desserts were mixed. The lemon cake was not good at all. The lemon curd had lumps and the cake was dry. Skip that one. The ice cream sundae was good, but the ice cream had bits of ice in it. The night we were there the air conditioning had been turned off during the day and when it was turned on just before opening, it couldn’t catch up to the hot evening. so it was about 85 degrees in that packed restaurant that night. The wine was warm. Not sure if I’ll go back on a hot summer night, but if I’m in the area for dinner again, I’ll definitely come back.”

“The place is definitely on the smaller side, but they fit as many tables as they can that for sure. It's not the best for us taller folks are you basically rubbing elbows with the table next to you. The service is good and the food has been delicious each time I have been here. I had the sea bass and it was very good. I recommend getting in early as it will fill up and typically reservations get kind of messed up not sure why.”
