That being said, I like to call your attention to a technician named Angel who truly made the experience acceptable. We got through the ordeal as quickly as possible and I left basically happy that it was over but unscathed.. She answered all my questions, knowledgeable and very positive interaction. I think the computer program needs to be looked at and tweet to make it user-friendly.”

She took exceptional care with me, she took her time and she said adamantly that she does not rush skin checks, there is too much at risk. Her staff, and I mean every last person that I dealt with, was extremely professional, friendly, and welcoming. It felt like everyone that worked for her really enjoyed working in that office, and that makes all the difference in the world when they are dealing with patients. She answered every single question I had and has continued to answer questions that have come up since my visit. I highly recommend Susan for any of your dermatology issues.”

“I have lived at Freedom Village in the Lexington Independent Living building for four and a half years. I am so happy that my husband and I moved here because it is everything we hoped for and more. Our apartment is spacious and was renovated to our specifications before we moved in. Immediately, we had friends and neighbors who welcomed us and made us feel like family. There are plenty of activities scheduled which we attend--or not--and many trips are planned to various museums, restaurants and entertainments. The food is excellent, served by staff who go out of their way to please us, and the dining room is elegant and spacious. One of the best things is the feeling of safety and security that Freedom Village supplies through the 24/7 concierge desk that takes care of all sorts of problems. One night just as we were getting ready for bed, our smoke alarm started beeping. I called the front desk and ten minutes later a security guard came and changed the battery for us. That's real service. We are truly living an easy, care-free life here at Freedom Village.”

“Dr Mcconnell and his staff are excellent. Dr McConnell takes a lot of time with you. He is very encouraging, compassionate and listens to your concerns. His respiratory therapist, karen, is amazing. She is worth her weight in gold. If you are having a problem using the CPAP machine because of a mask issue she will go to any lengths to help you. She goes above and beyond what needs to be done. If you read any reviews that are not excellent then it is the people writing them not the staff. I highly recommend this doctor.”

“Me and my family were very pleased with how my uncle was treated here. The staff was awesome and unlike most nursing homes, it smelled really nice!!!! Big plus because we just came from a place of urine smelling so the housekeeping was up to par. Nursing was up to par. And the food was amazing! Highly recommended for anyone not sure where to send their loved ones”

“Both my grandparents stayed here. My grandmother seemed as happy as she could be. The staff all greeted her in the hallways and her health improved under their care. My grandfather past while there. Staff was very helpful to the family. While staff seemed nice, the facility itself could use some work. I wish they had more of a garden to wheel grandma around in. They could also use a better family dining or meeting area. Sofas/ chairs are a bit sad.”
