“Eight of us had dinner and we all enjoyed our meal. The diversity of the menu was very good with a broad enough selection to meet most diner’s needs. We found the presentation to be the best sushi serving aesthetic we have had frankly the food was as good to look at as it was to eat. While the service was not fast the speed was acceptable. Our group had two areas which they could work on: 1) the staff was a little clueless on what to serve young children, this of course will be an easy fix when they study the options. 2) the order taking and food delivery was a little bit disorganized. Both of these issues are minor and I would recommend this as the best Japanese food on the coast. We paid $56 per person but nobody ever said sushi is cheap.”

“Friday afternoon lunch, perfect weather & great food. We ordered the Fish and chips (the best I have had in a long time). The batter was very light and it was fried perfectly. The chips (French fries) were wonderful too! Also, ordered clam chowder, it was delicious. Very creamy, a hint of cheese flavor, lots of clams, perfect amount of potatoes. We tried a unique drink called Bird of Paradise, makes you feel like you are on vacation. Highly recommend it. The only item I would have passed on was the cheesy bread.”

Amazing sever, A.J., cares for our every need. Always there, but yet was non-intrusive. Went above and beyond, explained special bourbon and brought up specialty bottles to show us. You get bowl full of Homestyle potato chips to nibble on while you wait for food. Their clam chowder is very creamy and better than those I've tasted on the coast of Oregon. It's hard to not have an overwhelming starch or potato texture with a clam chowder. This one is excellent. I thought the crab was a little overpriced. But it is the California coast. I'd recommend this is a place to stop for a bite to eat.”

“This restaurant has a great, warm, family atmosphere. The menu also tells you more about the building's history during prohibition which lends to the warm feeling of the place. We went for dinner and there was a piano player who plays fairly regularly. He plays classical, rock music, pop music, everything (Bohemian Rhapsody was played at some point). Seafood chowder is good. The entrees were standard seafront restaurant fare, hearty and good. Not hipster/ or that adventurous, but I think that's a good thing here.”

“I'm from out of town so this is my first time visiting this place. First impression is great. I like the glass roof and the store set up - feels like an outdoor shopping but inside the mall. The store selection are very limited. It's only a handful. Mostly I like the store set up but I don't have any particular store I want to go in except the Salty Taffy store maybe. Ample of parking space. The Oceano hotel and spa can be accessed inside the mall as well. Good a quick visit to check out the store set up but I don't really have anything particular to visit. It's a neat set up.”
