“I remember when Cactus opened years ago - it was a super-fresh take on Mexican fare. I often get the crispy tacos with grilled veggies—so satisfying. Quesadillas are nice and cheesy, and the corn tamales are warm and comforting. The food has stood the test of time. I don’t think I’ve ever had a bad meal here.”

“Excellent food but not a great pick if you are in a hurry. I had the fried chicken sandwich which was amazing. Super crispy fried chicken even with the slaw on the sandwich with it. Fries are nice and crispy, you get your choice of regular, curly or sweet potato and I got the regular which were delicious. Hubs had the regular burger on a gluten free bun with his pick of fixings and sweet potato fries. The burger came out on a regular bun, when I asked about (it looked just like my regular bun) they whisked it away and returned with a gluten free bun. Burger was cooked nicely and was a legit, house made patty. Sweet potato fries were also delicious. Great service, food was just a bit slow but we weren't in any hurry so not a big deal. They also have a nice looking cocktail menu, good wine and beer selections.”

“One of the best date night vegan / vegetarian restaurant in Oakland area. This is type of restaurant in which you don’t know what you are eating but it always tastes fresh and yummy. Even their free freshly baked bread and spread tasted really delicious. Date with pistachio as appetizer was yummy. Risotto cake and tamales as main entree was great and enough serving size. We will definitely go again.”

“Always super quick and delicious. Highly recommend the spicy tuna, salmon, or spicy pork rice triangles. You can tell the ingredients are high quality, and they're fairly generous filling the triangles - the salmon has always been cooked to perfection, and the spicy tuna is served in cubes like poke rather than finely-ground, so you can really tell it's good stuff. And did I mention they're really quick? It's like fast food speed but with fresh, delicious food.”
