“First experience with Ethiopian foods!! So light, healthy, and fresh, everything tasted homemade and fluffy but also crisp and natural, left a great taste in the mouth and a weightlessly bouncy belly, the tea was exquisitely spiced with exiting exotic flavors, wish more foods had character like this while being friendly to the diet! The pictures are of the Ethiopian breakfast and California croissant, we also had some decadent yet light baklava and sambusa to-go as well! The drinks were an Ethiopian iced tea which was full of life and flavor without being sugary and a hot chai latte which was comfortingly sweet and spicy. It was a quiet cafe-ambience atmosphere with gorgeous lighting and cool location, perfect for brunch! The staff were all so nice and came to check in on us and inspire us with insight in their beautiful culture! We will be coming back 😋”

“I live in Texas. My mother is in Cali. When she is heading to the hospital and asks you to help with food, you panic. That is, until you contact Sunny at LoCal Foodz. Not only was the customer service TOP NOTCH, but the food was excellent as well. I was able to find foods both my (picky) mother and father would enjoy, at a very reasonable price. “The staff doesn't speak much English, nor do many of the customers, so you know it's legit Mexican food. Fish Burrito: big hearty burrito with pinto beans and what I'm guessing is Tilapia fish. Really good and filling. I do wish it came with some pico de gallo or salsa or something fresh. Next time I might get the "Super" fish burrito which has avocado in it. Super Nachos: An epic nacho with refried beans, cheese, jalapenos, sour cream, and avocados. Probably best shared, because it is huge. Wish it came with some salsa. Cocktail De Camaron (Prawn Cocktail) - This one was a bit underwhelming. A shrimp cocktail.”

“The Food I am not sure how noodles differ in different regions of China. But when I walked by Classic Guilin Rice Noodles, it seemed like an interesting place to try. My friend and I ordered their Beef Brisket and Crispy Pork Guilin Rice Noodle (牛腩，脆皮桂林米粉) along with Special Small Bowl Rice Noodle (合味特色一口粉). The Special Small Bowl Rice Noodle came with a sampler of different noodles. These "Bite Rice Noodle" give a chance to try different noodle dishes. I enjoy both the Beef Brisket and Crispy Pork as well as Special Small Bowl noodles. I like these styles of noodles, and the flavors, though similar, are pretty good. They of course have a variety of other dishes besides noodles, so will need to return and try them. The Miscellaneous The restaurant itself is decent sized with a good amount of seating. The interior is clean with interesting decor, giving the typical Chinese restaurant vibe. The service and staff were nice and sincere. They took our order when ready, and the wait time for the food was pretty quick. Their menu has other selections besides noodles such as stew, hot pot and rice plate. The prices are not unreasonable so it is worth a try if you are in the area.”

“This place is totally worth the hype and deserves its reputation and Bib Gourmand. The soba brought me back to one of the best meals I have ever had, at a traditional old school soba joint in Tokyo. I certainly can't claim to be a soba expert, but all of the flavors and textures in the cold and hot sobas here went together perfectly and reminded me of that long ago meal. The tamagoyaki was excellent. The tempura was light and airy and crunchy in just the right way. The ebi croquettes were out of this world good. The fiddlehead ferns were unexpectedly awesome and a real treat for us, since we've never had them before. The pressed salmon was just "okay" and was the only component of the meal that wasn't even better than we'd hoped. The Okinawa mochi was probably the best mochi I have ever had. The service was excellent, as well. Oakland is lucky to have this gem of a restaurant.”

“I was a little skeptical about dining over here due to some of the bad reviews but decided to go anyway. So glad we did because we had a wonderful time. We ordered stuffed salmon, steak, chicken Alfredo and calamari for appetizer. Everything tasted great except for the chicken. But the white sauce was tasty so it kinda make up for it. We sat indoor but still managed to enjoy the view. They had the door opened so we enjoyed nice cool breeze as well. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience. My birthday man was very happy. Our server was attentive and friendly! We will be back!”

The service is excellent - all the staff members remember our names and checked on us multiple times. We ordered a beef stick, chicken stick, papaya salad, dry fried ribs and a spicy meat dish similar to a curry you dip and mix with rice and fresh veggies. Don’t get sticker shock for the price - the portions are VERY generous, one entree can easily feed 2 people.
