Edgar's Bakery

Address: 5215 Peridot Pl, Hoover, AL 35244, USA

Restaurant Bakery Store

“They used to bring their cakes into work all the time at the Regions Operational Center and it was very good. Since I needed something sweet for my wife's birthday we stopped by Edgar's in Hoover. She had never been in Edgar's before and now upset with me for not bringing her in here sooner! She found two cupcakes with butter cream frosting and we got a cinnamon roll which was delicious. They also had orange roll samples at the cash register which my wive was raving about. I didn't realize they had breakfast and lunch selections along with a kid's menu. We will definitely be back to try something from their breakfast or lunch menu in the near future.”

MELT

Address: 5219 Peridot Pl Suite 103, Hoover, AL 35244, USA

Restaurant

“I've been to this location twice, once with my grandmother and another time with a friend. Both experiences have been wonderful! Their fried pickles are wonderful and I haven't had a sandwich that I didn't like. This location is nice because it has a nice big outdoor patio and you can bring your dog! The feel of it is more commercial versus the other location feels more cozy and unique. They also have a selection of board games inside for people to use while they eat, probably really good for kids!”

Cajun Roux Bar & Grill

Address: 5220 Peridot Place Ste 132, Hoover, AL 35244, USA

Restaurant

“As with any new establishment it was crazy busy. On to the part you are waiting for. We started with the crab cake and the Royal red scampi. I apologize we dove right in as we waited for 40 minutes for a seat ( was it worth the wait YES it was). The crab was warm but fresh, the lemon salad dressing it came with was delicious and freshly made. The Royal reds were hot and delicious as well. I had the Tallulah Shrimp with pasta. It came with plenty of lobster and large shrimp 4 in all. It was topped with parmesan cheese. It was excellent despite the fact that it had cooled on the edges indicating it sat on the counter just a tad to long, but all in all it was tasty. My spouse had the Fried shrimp platter. Which came with fries. The shrimp were large and fresh, the fries were cut thin which kept them nicely done but not overly cooked. The wait staff was courteous and attentive but seemed stretched a bit too thin but they all hustled to compensate for this. I would have given them a 5 star review except for the slightly warm food, this is a easy fix for the staff. We will be going back and telling others to dine here. Overall an excellent job Cajun Roux.”

Taco Mama - Trace Crossings

Address: 5220 Peridot Place Suite 100, Hoover, AL 35244, USA

Restaurant

“Stopped by the new Taco Mama in Trace Crossings before work. Staff was super helpful and place was spotless. We ordered the Jorge’s nachos and a build your own quesadilla. Both were excellent!! Love the option to chose your own meat and add as many toppings as you want. Quesadilla filled with steak and onions, grilled to perfection. Outside was crisp, inside was hot and filled with cheese. Got pico and sour cream to top it with. Chips and salsa were fresh, hot and crispy!! Pulled pork nachos were plentiful with great flavor! We enjoyed the night breeze in the porch to dine at. Staff was very attentive and friendly! Will be back!!”
