“I love this sweet little coffee shop in the heart of Carnation. They've [semi] recently renovated and added a lot more inside and outside seating, and it looks great. It's comfortable and stylish, and a lovely place to have a quiet coffee. (Be sure to tip well if you get one of these, cos they are generous) There's drive-through service, a small amount of parking directly behind it, there's a group room on the main level, and I think there's even office space or group rooms for rent upstairs (but check with them, obv, in case that's ceased)”

From what I hear there fritters are outstanding but they run out quick early in the yeah day they are open, it's their most popular baked good. “Killa Bites catered an adult birthday party for about 60 people in December 2023. Based on my conversations with Laura J, one of the principals, we advertised "upscale nibbles" and were very pleased with the quality, quantity, creativity and presentation of the food. In addition to three appetizers from KB's menu, Laura suggested "grazing platters" (which were not listed in the appetizer menus) which were composed of "chef's choice" of seasonal and available fruits, cheeses (ours had wedges of brie, camembert, & others. No American or rubber-eraser "cheddar" either.), nuts, meats (included proscuitto), crackers and other delectables. Laura sent me a picture of a special board that KB did for an 85th birthday and I asked here to replicate it for the 70th celebration. A snap of our buffet is below. A special part of KB's business is the support of a work experience program for high school folks through Birds and Beans, a retail location that offers many of KB's bakery items. The advantage to a potential customer is that you can sample some cake flavors or other bakery item you are considering for your event. This is rather unheard of for a birthday cake, it seems. A snap of the birthday cake, and the birthday boy with the "blow out" cupcake, are also posted below. The cake was delicious and many guests were eager to take a piece home when I offered it. Killa Bite's staff was wonderful during the event and very attentive. If you're looking for something distinctly above-average in a caterer for your next event, I highly recommend you call Killa Bites.”

“I came about 4pm on a weekend and donut case was still really full meaning they don’t run out when you have a donut craving mid day. Selection was great! Donuts are airy and nice just like you’d expect from a donut. I really only came for The ice Cream but ended up walking out with 4 bags of donut holes. Now on to the ice cream. Prices are so much better than some of these chain brands and tastes the exact same. Not cheap tasting but quality was spot on to the chain brands. My favorite thing was that she didn’t skimp on the portion. My cone was loaded. Customer service was great. First time ever coming but will for sure be back. Best place I’ve found in tacoma to date. Doesn’t look like much from the outside but walk in. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.”

The cupcake itself had more of a cakey texture to it...it was soft and fluffy, which I liked. The frosting was perfectly sweet to accompany the light cakey not too sweet cupcake.
