Donkey Creek Park

Address: 8714 N Harborview Dr, Gig Harbor, WA 98332, USA

“This one is a tiny little park located in DT Gig Harbor. The walking trail is small and is a perfect little outing for families with little kids. The trails snake around the Creek. This place is in close proximity to a bunch of restaurants. Do visit if you are in this area.”

Scott Gallacher Memorial Splash Pad

Address: 10405 WA-302, Gig Harbor, WA 98329, USA

Park

“Great park and splash pad combination. Plenty of free parking and green space as well as a trail for hiking. The splash pad has seating all around with covers as well as a retaining wall and steps to sit. The park has three different structures for different age groups with a gazebo available for party rental. The only down side is the prevalence of bees 🐝 at the park. Will definitely go back.”

Dead Man's Island

Address: Gig Harbor, WA 98335, USA

Park

“First time to Deadmans Is. Today was very quiet and calm waters. I had the whole island to myself except the spiders. It was the best time ever. Just as I got 1/4 mile away some boats showed up with loud music. Which is fine if you like that. I just enjoyed the stillness and quietness. A little smokie and couldn't see real far so that made lots of peeps stay home. Have to go again w the kidos.”

Gateway Park

“Love this park. Playground easily accommodates children from 18 months to 12 years and has a water splash pad in the summer months. Also has 2 zip lines that are well maintained. Great area for bikes and scooters for littles. And a little library box that seems to be well stocked year round! Best of all, clean public restrooms.”

Sehmel Homestead Park

Address: 10123 78th Ave NW, Gig Harbor, WA 98332, USA

Park

“Great park! So much to do. There are several large fields for softball, baseball and soccer. Several basketball and tennis courts. There is a huge play structure/jungle gym with multiple slides, climbing structures, swings and other activities. Lots of benches and picnic tables for parents to watch children play. Gender specific and family bathrooms are clean and well maintained. Dogs are allowed but must be leased. Doggie waste disposal bags are available. Several water fountains with water bottle fillers. Covered picnic area is first come first served. Lots of swings including toddler, handicapped and regular swings. There is a stationary bike and elliptical machine for parents to use while the kids play. This park gets very crowded during peak hours. Lots of parking but only 3 handicapped spaces which are frequently in use.”

Hales Pass Park

Address: 3607 Ray Nash Dr NW, Gig Harbor, WA 98335, USA

Park

“Hales Pass Park appears to be just a baseball field and a repurposed historical school building. I was looking for a pickleball court and missed it on the first visit. They are hidden from the rest of the park by a building marked "private property" and somewhat buried in the shadows of the surrounding trees. The pickleball courts are markings on two fairly decent tennis courts. The courts are unlighted. The nets and court surface are in good shape, although submerged under water from recent rains when I visited. The court seems to be tied up on Wednesday mornings with pickleball league play.”

Crescent Lake County Park Trailhead

Crescent Creek Park

Address: 3303 Vernhardson St, Gig Harbor, WA 98332, USA

Park

“Playground is toddler friendly with large sandpit and a ferry themed play area. Not a ton for our 6 year old but she still had a great time. We also appreciated the lookouts with salmon conservation info… there is a fun scavenger hunt and well kept restroom too”

Wollochet Bay Estuary Park

Address: 4508 Wollochet Dr, Gig Harbor, WA 98335, USA

Park

“Went to find a trinket hid in the park. Was a lot of work but left quacker and my heart for the next to come. Quite a nice little stop, but not much on the parking. Not much to do and there is the main road right along side of the park. But it's still a great stop. No bathroom or tables, just grass and nature.”

Kenneth Leo Marvin Veterans Memorial Park

Address: 3580 50th St Ct, Gig Harbor, WA 98335, USA

Park

“I love this park. I have been taking my kids to this park for a long long time. My dad also likes this park when visiting from Olympia. The only reason for four stars is you get your usually entitled gig harborite who says something smart or looks at you sideways for being on thier playground... It's a nice park tho. Should visit. Cool playground with instruments outside for kids to play, a big field, and I haven't went myself but I believe there is wooded trails for dog walks there also.”

McCormick Forest Park

Address: 10301 Bujacich Rd, Gig Harbor, WA 98332, USA

“Well maintained trail with lots of twists and turns. Even found a snake on the trail that startled my poor kid. It is a short trail but make sure you pay attention to where the trail ends. Oops. Lol. And there are some good hills, so not for those that need flat paths. I'd definitely go back. Another rate 5 tonight. Must be in the air.”
