Dead Man's Island

Beautiful place. Can be very crowded with loud people.

First time to Deadmans Is. Today was very quiet and calm waters. I had the whole island to myself except the spiders. It was the best time ever. Just as I got 1/4 mile away some boats showed up with loud music. Which is fine if you like that. I just enjoyed the stillness and quietness. A little smokie and couldn't see real far so that made lots of peeps stay home. Have to go again w the kidos.

One of the best island parks in the south Puget Sound. Used to live across the water and kayaked here all the time. Little trails lead up to the cliff on the south end of the island and on the north end of the island is a long sand bar that can be walked at low tide or anchored at for a day at the beach. Washington State Parks maintains buoys for public use all around the island.

Many boats show up on a warm summer day! Also the water is fairly warm in this area, great for water sports around the Island.
