“Our family has been going to Westside church for over 10 years. We LOVE it! When we started coming out daughter was a senior in high school and our son was 2 years old. Kids programming and VBS was great for our son. We have enjoyed the local small community or home groups that meet. Another important aspect for our family was community involvement. The church is always involved in something (varies based on need and interest). We support the teens at KC Juevenile detention center, UGM, Hope Place, Providence Heights, WorldComp Kenya, and Shared Space for all in Thailand. Most of all we feel comfortable inviting friends and family to church. No matter who you are, you will relate to the Sunday sermon and feel welcome. We hope you will join us!”

When I went, I learned why, and it's because the congregation (led by a wonderful pastor, Dan Johnson)is friendly and warm - welcoming all who enter. Dan has become our family Pastor through some of the most difficult circumstances. In the last four years, we have had to lay to rest four of our dearest family members, and Pastor Dan has been there for each and everyone one of them, always with a joyful message and uplifting guidance. He has and is an important figure in my life as I deal with the numerous issues that have been part of my life and my training. If you haven't been to church before, or looking for a place to call home, then I always recommend trying Westside Foursquare Church! No heavy handed preaching, no pretentious posturing. “We love The Hallows Church! When we walked in the door 4 years ago, we felt welcomed and "at home". Our daughter enjoyed the nursery and we really enjoyed the worship service. The musical worship is simple and wonderful, usually just a keyboard or a guitar or two. The teaching is rooted in God's Word and always encourages, convicts, and gives me a greater understanding of the passage. We like the small-church feel - where you are noticed, loved and supported, but not too small either. I especially enjoy the monthly women's gatherings and the missional communities (small groups).
