Looks like an old gas station from the outside… don’t let the cover of this book deceive you…
Once inside the place was spotless clean.
I got the number one
Amazing skirt steak cooked to perfection
Obviously marinated.
I enjoy the cactus as back home they don’t serve it much. Guacamole had great flavor and home made tortillas were spot on.
The big bowl of beans they gave me were some of the best I’ve had ever.
Honestly this is the best Mexican food joint I’ve rated at in south texas
And I’ve visited a bunch.
Definitely will be back anytime I’m in town for work or passing through

Food was good. I highly recommend the lengua tacos and the cheese enchiladas. Both were really good. Pacifico beer was in stock, so I had to have one. Icy cold and delicious.

It was a very interesting place to stop at.
It is a convenience store, Mexican restaurant and traditional buffet all rolled into one.

Server took my drink order while I looked through the menu and also checked out the buffet which was primarily American dishes. I then received my beverage and small bowl of chips and very small amount of salsa.
I had combo number 1 on the menu which consisted of a steak covered in green beans along with Gaucamole and Pico de gallo and a spicy bean soup.

Everything was cooked fairly well, with my only complaint being my Pepsi was in a Styrofoam cup and had ice when I asked for no ice and the salsa was only a few teaspoons full.

But meal was priced accordingly so it makes sense.
I will try and stop here again and explore more if their menu!
