“Good place to stay just a short drive out of Galveston and MUCH cheaper than anything on the island. You get what you pay for but no complaints at this price point. I-45 construction added some small difficulty getting to it but that'll be resolved soon. Complimentary breakfast was good with a waffle maker and Jimmy Dean microwave biscuit sandwiches and an assortment of cereal. Air conditioner worked VERY well in our room. Good place for out of towners in Galveston to catch a cruise the next day.”

They always seem to be making waffle cones so it's almost guaranteed to be freshly made they have an outside seating area that is also pet friendly and across the street they play live music. so you can hear that as well while you enjoy your ice cream. “Art Bakery is open every Friday afternoon, and it is an absolute highlight of my week. My favorite item that they sell is the banana raisin muffin. I don't even like bananas. My original stance was that bananas corrupt anything they touch, however, the banana raisin muffins are out of this world! They are incredibly moist with amazing texture and flavor. The wonderful baker, Tessa, even comes up with new items every Friday. You will regret not stopping by!”
