“Museum cafes don't have to be good since the competition usually involves the inconvenience of leaving, but this one was totally respectable and good given the low bar I have in my head for this type of place. If I was driving near by around lunch and needed to eat I'd go even if I wasn't visiting the Hermitage (though I wouldn't go out of my way for it). You can get to it without admission. Service was very friendly and appropriately chatty while we decided what we wanted (there was no one behind us as we ate an early lunch). They bring your food out to you which was nice. I had the chicken salad sandwich which was good and big and I'd recommend it if you're hungry. I also had the homemade lemonade and helped myself to a refill before we left. My son had a hot dog and side of grapes and cheese cubes. My husband and Dad both had pulled pork and they liked it. My mom had a slice of quiche, she thinks it was supposed to be bacon and tomato but was more like ham and cheese, but it was good. The prices may have been a bit much for the amount of food which is why I docked a star, but like I said, given what they can and do usually get away with at places like this given their control, totally expected and went above my expectations.”
