“Tent camper here, three nights in the south part of loop F. Spots are nice, not all are level, so tent camping can be difficult. Wasn’t that busy until Friday evening, guessing the weekends are the busiest time. Lake is beautiful and lots of hiking trails around the campground. Loop F could use another shower house. The bathrooms are old, somewhat dingy and could use an overhaul. Otherwise a fun trip.”

“I stayed here full-time in my fifth wheel for two months while working in the area on a nearby job. Spots are level, water is clean, 20, 30 and 50a hookups at the pedestal. People are friendly, lake is beautiful and they keep the grass mowed. It’s quiet after 10 PM and you can get a good nights rest. Only 10 minutes away from chipotle and Walmart, 20 minutes away from Home Depot, Lowe’s, planet fitness, Texas, roadhouse, etc. I heard about some other people having issues, but management told me upfront keep the spot clean and keep the bill paid, my experience was awesome and I would absolutely stay here again. 10/10”

“The personnel are friendly and willing to help. I bought a camper from them and received 7 Days on their over 250 acre private campsite. Since it's January they gave us the option to leave the camper for the winter and return in May to pick it up un-winterize it and do the full walk through. That way if there were any problems everything could be fixed on-site. I would definitely recommend them as their prices were below other vendors we looked at.”

“This is a NICE camp ground!!! VERY AFFORDABLE. Alot 2do for free! The most beautiful surrounded wooded areas. Beautiful birds everywhere! RELAXING!!! NO MATTER wats happening in ur lifee, u can clear ur head. Update. Went back this year to find 2 chainsaws missing, 3 gas cans 2 with gas mixture in 2 of them missing, BRAND NEW air compressor missing!!!! From INSIDE our trailer. “I called camp HiYo to get a campsite for myself and my family to watch the eclipse. From the moment I spoke to someone I knew this place was special. They had created additional tent campsites to accomodate extra campers for the eclipse and these campsites were primitive. We knew it would be cold at night and they offered to run an extension cord from a nearby shelter house if we wanted to bring a space heater. Upon arrival we were greated by the nicest staff. Everyone was so friendly. Our site was perfect. Next to the pond and convenient to the shower house. The campground was clean and very well kept. While relaxing one evening our son was playing guitar and singing. Judy, the park manager asked him to come to the pavilion and play for the campground. He did and it was an awesome experience. All of the campers were so welcoming. Afterwards Judy invited him back to play any time. I can not say enough good things about Judy, her staff and Camp HiYo. We will definitely be returning and will recommend this wonderful place of relaxation to everyone we know. I can not imagine spending our eclipse weekend with any other people at any better place. Thank you Judy and Staff at Camp HiYo!”

“Nice campground. Well maintained. The pools are nice. Small area inside where you can buy alcohol and sandwiches and ice cream. Bathrooms are okay. They do have continuous hot water and good pressure. The campground was quiet.Fair prices. No hidden fees. The site we originally were supposed to have wasn't quite ready yet I don't think. The septic drain was way too high and capped off. And there was a large amount of rocks in the parking area. But they were able to move us to a different spot that was very nice.”

“Our family stayed in a cabin at this KOA twice this summer, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The owners and staff made us feel so welcome. The cabin and site were clean. The fire pit with grate made campfires and cooking easy and safe. The kids loved all of the animals on-site! We also enjoyed the swimming lake, inflatables, jumping pillow, and playground. In the rain, the game room kept us busy. We can’t wait to come back!”

“My husband and I were in Ohio visiting our Son and his family, we stayed at Joe’s campground that is located at his farm. The sites were well kept with a patio and picnic table. We loved that there were 50 amp with water and sewer hookups. I can’t say enough about how nice and helpful Joe was. If you enjoy nature and a quiet setting you should try his place. We will definitely be staying again!!”

“The Resort at Erie Landing is amazing! The staff, the grounds, the accommodations and the management are all wonderful. Jen goes above and beyond to help make sure we have the best time. This was our third year going and we are already planning to book for next year. The resort has so much to offer for all ages. The entertainment and the activities are all so much fun. They really take the time and care to ensure that every camper has a positive experience. “We really enjoyed our 1st experience at this simple but cozy campground. I'm so familiar with bigger state park ran campground so I was unsure of how it would go with a smaller family owned campground. Unfortunately it had rained quite a bit before we had arrived and that is completely out of the owners control. When we arrived we were told that our campsite was submerged in water but they did not hesitate to find us another location to set up for the night. (I wouldn't expect this at a state park campground because it's usually a get what you get situation) It was a very small corner that didn't really look like a campsite but luckily it was just the 2 of us and we are pretty flexible people. They even found us a fire ring and brought it over. It definitely added to our adventure and they even let us use the electric box next to it even though we had a primitive site originally. The lady was working super hard to accommodate the requests of every person on the campground. It seemed like she was the only staff onsite and she was a very patient lady. We would like to come back for the customer service alone. Thank you for the memories!”

“This place is my happy place!. My fiances family owns a lot up here and we visit every summer. This place is very well maintained and managed nicely. The have a nice little gift shop in their office where you check in and an onsite bar, which is great if you just want to relax. It is clean and there is never any rif raff going on. Everyone is friendly and you can catch just about any type of fish up here. There is a spot to clean your fish and a nice public shower and restrooms....or if you gotta go there are out houses to use as well LOL !!! If you need a nice lot to rent or a get away this is perfect and right outside of sandusky and Port Clinton. My fiance and I thoroughly enjoyed the hospitality and will be back!! Thank you!”
