“The road starts off easy enough but gets rough fast. Having a 4x4 or a raised vehicle to continue will help. After the second fire restriction sign the road gets easier to pass. The campsite is spacious with a vault toilet. It's very quiet. Pack in-Pack out.”

“We always enjoy staying in a site near the water...it's a small paradise. However, we wish that the trees and bushes were trimmed back so our motorhome doesn't get scratched on them upon arrival and departure.”

“Great place right off the highway! We stopped here for one night on our way from Michigan to Myrtle Beach and it met our needs! We stayed on the full hook ups up front so I can't comment on the bath house. Great views of Pilot Mountain! Owner was extremely helpful and friendly! The campground dogs were a treat as well!”

“This is a great spot in the middle of the Everglades. RV Sites come only with electricity. You can refill potable water and use the dump station at the entrance of the camp site. There are no showers, only toilets, and they were not very clean… The sites are spacious and situated around a nice little lake. No alligators at the time we were there, but there can be. At night we enjoyed the thunder lighting shows. Bring some insect repellent though. Would stay here again because of the absolute stunning location!”

“Nice and quiet place. You find here each camping spot has grill and fireplace. You will be able to launch kayak here but there is no place to swim - very dense greenery around the lake”

“David is a wealth of information about farming and alpacas! He is so welcoming. Our kids got up close and personal with alpacas safely with David’s guidance. We rented three of the yurts with two other families and enjoyed this unique stay. One highlight was the hike down to the river, which took 20-30 minutes each way. Soaking our feet in the cold mountain water on a hot day felt divine. We brought things to grill on the communal BBQ and were appreciative of the showers after a day of farm smells on our bods. :) We loved Lila’s Cafe in Granite Falls for coffee, brunch, and ice cream.”

“I honestly have nothing but great things to say about this campground! One of my favorite things about this campground was the location of the pool and the view that it offers. It sits on top of a hill and the view of the mountains in the background are truly amazing. The only thing I would say if you are visiting is to do a tour of the sites if you just want power and water. Those sites sit on the top of the property and some seemed to be small. I can’t believe I haven’t heard of this place before but it will be our first choice in the future. The price was very reasonable compared to other campgrounds. We stayed 3 nights and are already looking forward to our next booking and even considering doing a seasonal site. The price for that was extremely reasonable compared to what I heard other people are paying. With a small deposit, you can even store your camper over the winter there. Well done Frosty Acres, well done.”

“Spot 13 awesome experience. Tons of fun. Super hot but you have a lake right there that's the perfect temperature to go for a swim, go fishing or even hop on a boat and a ride. They have vault toilets they get pretty hot during the day. We had a picnic table, grill, fire pit with a grill and a canopy for the picnic table.”

“Awesome group camp ground that you have to 4x4 to get to. 2N01 took a beating in the last storm. High clearance 4x4 are needed. Lots of ruts and rocks! Nothing an experienced off roader can't handle. Has an outdoor bathroom. No TP right now (Sept 23). The adjacent field was full of water from the storm.”

“I loooove this place! We go to see my brother play with an awesome band, Made In Texas Band... And we drive from Fort Worth to do so! Didn't enjoy the food, a little high priced too. But the drinks and prices are fabulous”

“Wonderful campground and quite reasonable on price. They are mostly seasonal but there are several daily sites right next to the pond. Spots are a little tight, but manageable. Staff was friendly and the Wibit in the pond provided lots of fun for the day for the kids.”

“My son went for a trip alone for the first time with a couple of friends. Car broke down. Shotgun (Nolan) helped them out a lot. Checked on them and made sure they were good. Amazing and helpful man. Thank you so much for being caring and patient with these clueless teen boys. If I could give more stars I would. Helped this mama not to worry.”

“The negative first. There is no water access from the campground. The water isn’t even visible. The one trail we chose to walk wasn’t maintained. If cell signal matters to you. ATT has no signal. The good, the sites were nice, level, clean as were the restrooms. It’s very peaceful and well maintained. Camp hosts were very nice.”

“Great place to stop overnight or stay a few days. Quiet, clean, great spots, friendly, and all the facilities you could ask for. The showers, laundry, and bathrooms were very clean, and looked almost new. We definitely appreciated the full hookups, and pull through spots for our large rig.”

“I had an incredible long-term stay at this RV park! The fiber optic internet was a game-changer, offering lightning-fast speeds that made it easy to work and stream without interruption. The shaded, covered RV lots provided a comfortable environment, protecting us from the sun and keeping the RV cool. I felt completely safe here; the well-maintained grounds and friendly staff created a welcoming atmosphere that made it a true home away from home. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a fantastic RV experience!”

“Our son had the best camp experience at Charis Hills! He is 12 and high functioning At with adhd. He said he felt like he could be himself and had the most amazing time and made lifelong friends. Thank you for this camp. It’s been a blessing to our son!”

“Well maintained and they did a good job marking off reservations, which was appreciated. Note that the campsites are small and the ground is a little damp and gravelly, so you may want a tarp or something to protect the bottom of a light tent. Campsites are close together, but well laid out and it's a good campground overall!”

“We went for a long weekend getaway with friends. Our cabin was amazing! We were stunned as we walked in and saw the wonderful view from the 3 walls of windows. It was spacious, and had lovely and comfortable decor and furniture. Our only comment is that there is no window shade on the door or over the sliding door, and the a/c unit being in the main living area makes it hard to keep the bedroom cool without leaving the door to the bedroom open. So someone can look in or in our case it was letting in a ton of light very early in the morning. It was otherwise just a fantastic experience. The pool and hot tub were wonderful. Lots of options to hang out at a propane fire pit. There’s also a lot of kid friendly activities (jumping pillow, playground, swimming, outdoor games). We also rented one of the golf carts, which I would highly recommend for getting around the park. We would absolutely come back here again.”

“Good campground for a long stay and/or workers. Landlord is very nice and accommodating. They do regular drive throughs to patrol and keep and eye on everything. Not a fancy RV park if thats what your looking for, but we would definitely stay here again when we come back to the area. No 4wheelers like previous reviews, they're not permitted in the campground. There'sa trail that runs along the creek that you may hear them pass through but nothing over bearing. Nor did we have any flooding issues in our 4 month stay and we stayed right along the creek.”

“The owner is so friendly and accommodating. We decided to have a last minute camp and float trip and the campground was nice and private right on river front. The river was low so our kayak dragged which is rare for a kayak which does to show the river conditions. Other than that a great trip. I'd def go back again to camp and if the river was higher, float too.”
