“I started going to this camp at the age of 10 apart of my churches father and son retreat, but since my dad was imprisoned most of my childhood I went with my grandfather, brother, cousins and other men and their sons and cousins, including other churches as well. This place was the first thing I was ready for after school ended. I didn't miss a year all the way up till I was 27. the year of 2020 was the last year for Marengo and deep down it broke my heart because this place had a big impact on my childhood, this was my childhood. I hurt so bad that last ride out of the campsite because I knew I'd never see this place again. But as our shirts said when we left. LEAVE A LEGACY.”

“This Dollar General is absolutely amazing!! My sister made a quick trip and I forgot to have her grab Fairlife Chocolate Milk. I called her phone only to realize she had forgotten it. I called Dollar General and Sandy answered the phone. She was slightly taken aback (understandably) by my request but she came through for me!! She told me that she’d relay the message to the cashier and she definitely did. My sister came home with the chocolate milk and I couldn’t have been happier. What seems to be a small gesture is huge to someone else. Thank you to the workers at DG!”

“I am somewhat disappointed ! My husband was arriving by ambulance from the hospital after a hip surgery. He arrived at 2:30 pmish on a Friday. He needed a trapeze above his bed but the maintenance staff ( one man) only works from 7-3, m-f. We have been told that this apparatus will not be installed till Monday. This leaves him struggling to get in/out of bed and just repositioning. I also carried a RX to them from the hospital for his pain meds. At 7pm when he asked for them he was told that the pharmacy was out and would have to drop ship them. He got them at 1:30 in the morning! They were able to give him Tylenol but that isn’t much help when you have a 12” slice on your hip. Overall, so far, Day 3, the facility is clean, the food is adequate and the care has been good towards him. I did hear some conversations between staff and staff/ resident that I am unhappy with and will be reporting. This is an update... after the initial period of displeasure we were satisfied with their service.”
