“This place was really good. I was staying nearby in a hotel so I walked over (~9pm, so I'm very glad they were open until 10pm!). Since it was so late, they were out of a few items, but had exactly what I wanted, steak /rice burrito bowl. They suggested a great sauce to put on top (they make most of them in-store!). The bowl tasted great and both people working were friendly. If I'm every back in town I'll be back!”

“Lakeside Hideout is where Sunnyside used to be. My only complaint is they discontinued turtle soup. I would sometimes drive 2 1/2 hours JUST for turtle soup. I ordered the tenderloin and the fries. The fries were perfectly fried and had salt and pepper on them. The tenderloin was the star of the show. They have grilled and fried. I ordered fried, obviously, because duh. The meat wasn't pounded out too thin and the breading wasn't too thick. The meat was tender and juicy and the breading was light and crispy! It was up there as one of the best tenderloins I've ever had! My server was lovely and it was nice to sit outside by the channel and enjoy a meal and watch the farmers do their thing. The prices feel a bit steep for Mercer County, but I'll be back again.”

“We were staying in the area to visit family and wanted a quick dinner while it was so hot out. Found their menu on Facebook and gave them a try. Was pleasantly surprised! Very cute little store with all of the basics you need for convenience and camping. Tidy & neat. They have a cute dining area inside and out front (beautiful flowers & metal patio furniture) but we had ordered ours to go. Easy parking areas. We ordered a 16” pizza special and breaded mushrooms. The crust was a bit thicker than we are used to (may see if they have a thin crust next time) but the toppings were generous. The breaded mushrooms were great! Staff was very friendly and helpful! Will definitely stop back!”

“First off, the service here is equivalent to comfort food. Wonderful staff who make you feel at home. I’m from Chicago; for this rural area, I was pleased to find Deep Dish-style pizza here. This Chicago boy was quite pleased. The pizza here is high-notch. Their fried chicken dinner makes my kneecaps quiver. Excellent chicken…whew, JESUS. Their mac-n-cheese (when available) makes me wanna howl like a wolf. A great place that’s VERY worth a visit.”

“When I stopped here, I was having a horrible day due to one thing after another going wrong. However, these guys were so kind and friendly, they actually put a smile on my face and I ended the day on a good note. It’s amazing how just smiling and being kind to someone can go a long way. They have sufficient parking, a CAT scale, showers with nice hot water and good pressure, laundry, and a nice little restaurant. The store also has some pretty neat and cool things. This one is definitely going on my favorites list even though I don’t come through here that often. I’ll remember to always stop here just for the fun of it whenever I come through.”

“Got there and appeared to be BUSY. Greeter told us availability even on patio although it was rainy. Once we declined that she explained potential time frame then explained what she was anticipating could happen and it did. She was able to seat the three groups of 4 in front of us as well as our group of 4. I love when they pay attention and give worse case and potential. Food was excellent. Service was top notch. “Fries were warm.(More than likely due to them about to close) Pizza burger was remarkable. I mean sheesh...taking this back home to GA. Tap was cold as a polar bear toenails. “This was a hidden gem. My mom and I were traveling through doing the longest yard sale on Route 127. We were starving, and I found this place on the map. It has great views, and the staff was terrific. The food was excellent, and the menu choices were nice. You could choose from full or half "petite" portions. The menu had a great choice, and the drink selection was excellent. They have Pepsi products and local wines and beers. I highly recommend this place. It is our new go-to for next year.”

“Son and I ordered double bacon cheeseburgers. He ordered fries and I got Tators tots. Sandwiches were awesome hand-formed burger patties. Bacon was cooked perfectly. Tator tots are phenomenal as were fries. No room left for their fantastic homemade pies. Maybe next time. Service was tremendous. Great lunch specials too.”
