“If you like good, fried food, this is the place. The Cajun Catfish was especially good, but the fried shrimp are a close second. We ate here while charging our car at the EA station in the Walmart parking lot and service was fast enough for us to get the charge we needed without hitting 100%. Good deal!”

“Awesome food experience. My husband & I enjoyed our meal - we were greeted cordially by the hostess & seated at our preference. Our server Ann - was friendly knowledge respectful & patient. My husband & I both had steak entrees - mine the ribeye bone in with zucchini & baked potato- he had a t bone entree with coleslaw & baked potato. Everything was delicious- steak was hot - seasoned just right & cooked to our preference. We weren’t rushed in any way and that was great!!This is situated in a great location- quite close to interstate I 85 & US 158 E in Henderson NC. Several shopping experiences close by and a major trauma hospital.All & all - very good meal!”

“Awesome area favorite & convenient location to a major interstate - nearby trauma center & shopping experiences - lodgings. This location had a banging awesome cook - hubby & I served a hot off the grill full breakfast of eggs bacon hash browns waffle grits toast coffee & drink. I watched the lady cook on the grill and she was a master constantly moving reaching flipping over the food on the grill. Breakfast & lunch options available during business hours. Our server was friendly & efficient- reasonable price for great meals. The space is a little tight & in busy times there maybe a wait - there is a bar type area for one person seats. Enjoyable meal!!”

“I really enjoyed my visit to Mezcalito and was very pleasantly surprised by a menu of great dishes, unlike the so-so average menu fare at other local places in the area. The drinks/beverage menu was extensive and sophisticated and the bar area had plenty of seating for those popping in for a drink. I ordered the shrimp ceviche which was fresh and a serving so large it would feed three or four people. The salad bowl with shredded chicken was delicious and I couldn't finish it. The service was great and the server returned regularly to check up on me. If you're passing through on the I-85, it's worth the stop!”

“Very enjoyable afternoon ice cream stop with friends and family. Super fast & friendly service and the milkshakes were fantastic! We got there between lunch and dinner so we didn’t opt for the cheesesteaks and fries. That will be on the agenda the next time at the lake! “This is our beautiful, smart, playful and healthy pup Cookie. She had her first puppy well visit and she was given a perfect bill of health. Fetch a Pet is super clean and the staff is so friendly and helpful. The puppies come out and play together and get exercise. People come in and play with the puppies which helps socialize them. Our Cookie is so well socialized that she loves everyone she meets. We have four cats and now three dogs including Cookie. I highly recommend Fetch a pet!! Great place!”

The all-you-can-eat element gives you the chance to try a little bit of everything which I recommend that you do. The food is great of course, the people are very friendly, the turkey wings, smothered pork chops, and the turnip greens are my favorites but be sure to try the honey bun cake which is exactly what it sounds like. And hey, if you ever wanted to try pigs feet this is the place to do it! Don't let the modest accommodations deter you, everybody knows you don't get the best soul food at a country club!”
