“Well I'm not sure what happened to poor Charlotte, but Barr-ee Station is staffed by absolutely fantastic people. Is Charlotte the person who left 25 bathing suits littered all over the floor after trying them on and then tossing them for some poor busy employee to rematch and rehang? Certainly she wasn't that rude person! These are times when all businesses are understaffed and overwhelmed with rude and entitled people. Lets all hope for a more gentle and kinder 2022 season, cause the people coming this year are less than the cream of the crop. And Charlotte, if you are the person who was in there when I was, and made such a negative impression on everyone, you got your money back on a non-refundable item, so shame on you for trashing a local business.”

“Just walked in, not knowing what to expect. Precious little boutique, the owner was there with her little girl, and she is the sweetest! I was there with my 12, almost 13, year old daughter and little boy. Clothing is super cute but sized for older teens and ladies. My daughter loved everything in the store but was still too young to fit into any of it. We mentioned how much my daughter loves black and Wednesday Addams, and the owner recommended a hat that my daughter fell in love with. So impressed with the owner’s attentiveness and how gorgeous this boutique is. Definitely visit this local small business!”

“Ella’s Olive is a must-visit stop when visiting Duck and Corolla! They have a very impressive variety of olive oils and vinegars which not only spice up our cooking but make for fabulous gifts. I personally love their house-made tapenades and pickled garlic. I also greatly appreciate that they offer tastings for their specialty foods and olive oil/vinegar blends so you know exactly what to expect from their wonderful products. Everyone I have brought over has raved about how Ella’s Olive is their favorite shop in the Outer Banks!”

“This little market has all of the essentials that you forgot to pack for your beach house. It is a godsend considering the closest larger grocery stores are a bit of a drive away. If there's something that you forgot to pack (soap, detergent, ingredients), this place will have it . They even have some ready-made meals and a pastry area. Seriously this place has everything that you could possibly need to make it at least a night (if not the rest of your stay) until you get to a full service grocery store the next day.”

“If you have a dog, this is a must-see! The owners were very friendly and our dog got many “samples” of unique flavors of treats. They have lots of unique dog-themed merchandise and really cool, healthy, and flavorful treats. Everyone was very kind, friendly, and didn’t hesitate to chat with us or our dog. Highly recommend!”

“All of the employees I dealt with were very friendly, including those who took my LSV reservations over the phone, those who worked behind the desk at pickup, and those who took us outside for explanation of use. I rented a 6 person LSV in May, and a 4 person (that's all they had left) in July of this summer. They were fun for cruising the side streets and into Duck in the evenings for shopping. Prices were comparable to the other companies I checked with, and I liked using a company that was right in Duck. 5 stars!!!”

“Cool gallery that is half of the combined Seadragon Yellowhouse gallery store. This site has a lot of cool pieces and many from local artists. There are glass, pottery pieces, clocks, jewelry, soaps and other items. Nicely arranged with lots of room to maneuver in the store so it's not over packed with items. Definitely a nice place to find some nice local art or craft from the Duck/Outer Banks area.”
