“We thoroughly enjoyed the food but the staff and appearance of the restaurant put us off a bit. We ordered quite a selection for lunch which turned out to be enough for dinner as well. Ordering online was easy enough and our meal was ready in a short amount of time. As mentioned above, it was the staff and restaurant that was a bit off. Our meal was packed in paper bags, plastic containers, and stuffed in a plastic bag. Based on all of that, I thought we would definitely be disappointed in our meal. However, the food was so good that it offset my initial impression. We ordered two (2) vegetable samosa as we were not sure how many came with each order; there were three per order for us. They were still warm, crispy, came with sauces, and had good flavor. Unlike some samosas I've had, these were completely filled with the potato and pea mixture. We shared the Aloo Chat which we thought was the best tasting dish with the mix of yogurt, tamarind, and mint sauce. Our soups were good but nothing fancy. We had the coconut soup which had quite a bit of fresh coconut but seemed light on the beshamel. The Mulligatawny soup was surprisingly a smooth bisque. We saved our entrees for dinner which were Chicken Dopayaza and Chicken Vindaloo. Both were good and flavorful with large chunks of tender chicken. I highly recommend the Dopayaza with its tangy tomato sauce. Don't let the appearance of the restaurant or the gruffness of the staff stop you from trying Jewel of India because their food is good!!”

“This spot is our Vietnamese cuisine gem! Sadly, they’ve been closed for some time. The food is always delicious and consistent. They seat you as soon as you walk in. We even been accommodated for large parties (8+) persons. The place does need a cleaning as I’ve seen flies flying around, and it has a dingy appearance. The host and our waiter is so friendly and funny! He runs the floor by himself at times and we can see his stress but he handles it well.”

“A nice indian restaurant in the downtown. The food is prepared fresh and it tastes really good good. You should do street parking there. We went there during lunch and we were the only one. Appetizer- we had Aloo tikki, veg platter, French fries and chicken seekh kabab. Other than the Aloo tikki whose look was different. Everything was really good and was made fresh. Entree - Chana masala, dal tarka, saag paneer and chicken Tikka. Everything was good and was Cooked mild with minimum spices and tasted really good and homely. Really liked the food and it was very light, fresh and good!”

This food isn't just delicious, it's phenomenal. I'm so glad to see how treasured this place is by this city we're falling in love with, I just have to sign my own name as yet another appreciative customer. “My table of 2 ordered the yucca puffs as an appetizer, which were well seasoned, soft on the inside and crispy on the outside. For our main dishes we ordered the red curry fish tacos and the injera plate with chicken. Everything was super tasty, and fun to eat. I think my favorite part of the meal was the fish tacos. “Had some after work cocktails and food with a friend and we were not disappointed. The decor is SUPER cute and service was prompt and friendly. We ordered a few appetizers and a main to share. Bang bang shrimp, pork belly bao buns, and the meatballs were delish! We also tried the short ribs main which was great, but the mashed potatoes fell a little flat. We had several cocktails, but our favorite was a special called a pumpkin pie martini- YUM. I'd definitely return and look forward to my next visit.”

Their fried fish is actually SEASONED, and seasoned right, which no other fish place around does, and again, it’s cooked perfectly. Their fries are seasoned good, too. Tried the snow crab and the portions you get for the price is some of the best, without sacrificing good quality and flavor. Every time we go our food is cooked fresh and hot to order. They also sell little cakes and not only do they taste great, they have the most amazing texture that even bakeries can’t get right. Even my nephew’s burger looked really good and nicely cooked lol. The owners are always so friendly and professional, you can tell they love taking care of their patrons and put love in their food. Love this spot”
