“This is the best sub shop in the area, in my opinion. They have a ton of options but I always go for a classic Italian sub. The bread is what makes a good sub and they nailed it. I've been going here forever and they've been around for at least 20 years. I have such great memories going here with my dad when I was a kid. It's also right downtown and you can walk to the gazebo or Grove Street Park and sit and eat. Check it out!”

“The tacos here are so good - I feel elated to have found actually delicious tacos on the east coast. I grew up in southern California and moved to NYC about four years ago - I’ve been searching high and low for great tacos and I’ve finally found them! They’re far better than anything I’ve had in the city and also more reasonably priced. I would make it a point to come back if I happened to be in the area or even just passing by on a road trip. Highlights are probably the al pastor and lengua, but the steak ones are also good. Guacamole was solid and the orange salsa is fantastic!”

The Bourbon Chicken with apples special was fantastic. The owners checked in with us in addition to our very good waitress. “What a difference in 24 hours. I decided to give this place another chance. The service was great and the assistant manager was very apologetic for the disaster on the previous day even though she wasn't even present at the time. I still want to see the video the owner was looking at to make his comments below which are absolutely not true. Thank you for your response to my comment earlier today regarding the horrible service. While I do agree that your worker was working very hard everything else in your comment is untrue. I placed my order at 1:13pm and walked out of the store without my bowl at 1:45pm. The bowl was still not ready or else I would have taken it as I no longer had time to get any lunch today. The manager never apologized and never offered a discount. The only thing he asked was for my credit card info. Please save the video as I would love to see it. I will be in your store tomorrow to see what you are looking at because it is clearly not me.”

“Great food and service! This place is a local treasure, with a host of locals and foodies as regulars. It has a nostalgic 'soda shop' decor, the servers are friendly and enthusiastic. Make sure to check out the awesome blackboard specials, they rotate constantly and always contain choices to please. Can be crowded for weekend breakfast, does not take reservations but tables of 5 or more can call ahead. Also great for call ahead take out.”
