“Wow!! Super impressed with the Korai kitchen.. we decided to give this place a try because of their high ratings and their unique menu. We tried the egg curry and Labra special portioned for one. For the sides, you can pick rice, dal and dry aloo sabzi or pulao rice (with egg) or upgrade to chicken biryani. We loved the homely taste and the mild spices. The restaurant only allows take outs and deliveries currently and it's best to call and pre-order even for a take out (they had our food ready within half an hour). I highly recommend this restaurant, we will definitely go back to try more varieties!”

“A Battello is a small boat often tied to larger boats and used to bring people back and forth from the shore. I’m not sure why this name was chosen and a lot of times I’ve passed their statue with the name under it and wondered what it was. I found out that it’s a real jewel on the Hudson in Jersey city. The first thing you’ll notice is that while the building itself looks small, the establishment is incredibly spacious, and well thought out. Very very clean. The staff is very courteous and professional. While sitting at the bar having a coffee I listen to the bar keep and a host discuss the wine, making sure it was chilled properly etc. very thoughtful. I liked that the customer doesn’t know that they’re working behind the scenes to make the moment nice. The view outside of Manhattan is incredible also and worth the visit if just to look at the skyline while having a Manhattan from the bar. It also looks like the beginning of some construction on a adjacent bit of land of which I’m hopeful it won’t obstruct the view. This is how a restaurant should be and I’ll write more when I have time to eat there.”

“We went to this place on a weekday for dinner. We had a reservation and were seated comfortably. The outside/open area is closed and ours was an inside table with views of the Manhattan skyline..! I tried one of their rose wines and it was good. We loved the sweet potatoes fried. You can't put them down. I was expecting the salmon with a bed of rice but it was served with few grains of puffed rice. The spaghetti was also okay, the sauce could have been better, it tasted bland. Overall, I enjoyed some items more than the others. The service is good. The place overall is expensive for the quantity/quality of food.”

It was great sausage and I would probably come more for it if it were near my place (10-15 walking distance?) but could not tell much difference what’s unique about it compared to other good sausages. “I am new-ish to the neighborhood and I've always been meaning to come in, but my job works a little later and I've never been able to catch the restaurant during their hours. I came in yesterday and ordered a prosciutto mozzarella sun-dried tomato balsamic sandwich and I can tell you hands-down that I almost cried because it was so delicious. I went back to the counter and introduced myself and I met Carmine himself and he welcomed me to the neighborhood and said to come in anytime and then he'll take care of me and that he has anything I want in terms of home groceries. he asked if I liked lentil soup and he packed me a cup of soup to go. i'm coming back and I'm bringing all my friends. A class act and an example of what a great business should be!”

“Been here maybe 5 or 6 times, have had to wait on average of 10 minutes or more to get my drink. They request your name, but then when handing it out, they yell the drink name out & that's not even loud enough to hear, & they'll just leave it on the counter without returning to it. Only 1 employee is trying to service with multiple task, one is just slow, another is always intensely putting or moving product up (looking busy) & has an attitude with her co-workers. & another floats around. Edit part -> staff has changed & so has the atmosphere & my drink is usually ready in no more than 4 minutes. Thanks”
