“Root Food + Wine was a journey of flavor combinations that I never thought of together. They work amazingly well together. Smooth and crunchy, salty and sweet, popcorn and chicken?… delicious! Everyone in our party had the seven course chefs tasting menu. Kirsten, our server, described the complex taste revelations as “a party in your mouth” and she was right. We loved the vintage look and welcoming staff. This is a top notch must try experience. All farm to table. Their sources are mostly local and all listed on the front of the menu. All of our drinks looked like works of art and, as the food, we’re all exemplary taste combinations. I’ve included, too many, pictures of everything we had. It’s easy to see why this up and coming chef is winning awards!”

“I got pork and brisket. Barbecue was nice and tender, not fatty had a mild smoke flavor. I tried their 5 sauces. I found the original sauce to be one of the better sauces as well as the spicy sauce, which was not spicy but had good flavor.”

“My husband and I had passed by here many times on our way to the Katy but it was never open. Well my daughter and I stopped in after our ride to give it a try. It is located in an historic Augusta building along with an art gallery on one side. I ordered the biscuits and gravy with a side of hashbrowns. Now it is probably just a matter of personal preference but there was way too much pepper in the gravy for me and the hashbrowns weren't very good..very thin and no taste. My daughter had a bunless cheeseburger which she said reminded her of Steak n' Shakes but she was a little disappointed with the brussel sprouts that looked and sounded delicious. The prices for lunch were pretty much in line with other restaurants in the area but looking over the dinner menu some of the options looked pretty pricey. We don't get out this way much so I don't know if I will try any of their other menu offerings.”

“Love this brewery. They had a large variety of beers which were all good quality. They have flights so you can try a different beers. The food was super decent. The smash burger and chicken quesadilla were excellent. Try the leader fries, yummy! We sat at the bar and the bartender were really knowledgeable and friendly. They have plenty of seating and some nice outdoor seating too. It was clean and the temporary was comfortable.”

You order at the bar and they bring it to your table. Loved the fact that you get to pick your own table unlike typical sit-down restaurants. The local fruit wines from Small Batch winery are great if you like Missouri sweet, fruit wine! So many flavors to choose from! Lots of other wine and beer selections as well.”

“Really nice clean place to get snacks and have a break. The restrooms were very clean. There was a wide variety in choices of snacks and drinks. The gas station pumps and the entire gas station was quite well lit. I would not hesitate to use this station late at night as it seems to be quite secure. The staff was friendly and helpful. Definitely a nice gas station free”

“For the most part, they make a really good smoothie. Friday’s are $5 smoothies days. They get really busy, but is worth the wait. The downside is that they don’t always mark what smoothie is which. When you pick up four smoothies, and they are all red, it takes some guesswork. Sometimes they put labels, which is awesome! Sometimes they write it on the cup. But sometimes they don’t put anything at all on the cup! I hope they improve on this!”

“I was greeted by a friendly hostess upon entering and was seated. Our waitress approached us immediately and was very sweet and took our drink order promptly then our food order once we figured out what to get because there were so many choices! I tried a cheese steak (with no bun/low carb) with brussel sprouts and my daughter got the farm burger. The food came quickly and it was hot and had great presentation. Tasted great! I was pleasantly surprised with the taste and quality of the food. Top notch. We will definitely be back!! So glad to have The Post in St Charles County!!!”

“A nice late afternoon ride on the Katy brought us to this terrific Brewery. There was plenty of seating and the outdoor area was open as well. The staff was friendly and very helpful. We grabbed a quick drink and snacked on some garlic bread...yum! Plenty of spots to park your car or (like us) your bike. They also had a tool and air station so, if you need to tighten something up or air up your tires, you could definitely do that here. We had to pedal back since it started to get dark, but we will definitely be back. Thanks for the hospitality!”

“I've been a patron of this location for a few months now. I go for breakfast almost every morning after work. I am always greeted and welcomed in. The customer service is 5/5. The Manager Kim does an outstanding job overall. The customer service she provides is the reason I keep coming to this location.
