She guided us through the creation of a comprehensive birth plan, which helped both me and my husband to be more comfortable as the due date approached. When the big day arrived, Sharon was available for phone calls and texts in the preliminary stages, and then when we needed her at the hospital she was there right away! We found her presence especially helpful as we navigated the various medical decisions that needed to be made throughout the process - she was great at working with the doctors and nurses on site. Even though we had a birth plan, Sharon was an important piece in the real-time decision making process. She did everything she could to keep me (mom) physically comfortable throughout labor, and gave my husband (dad) tons of tips on how to be helpful. It was a long day for everyone, and Sharon was there for as long as we needed her! After the birth, she has also been a great resource and thought partner as we approach breast feeding, baby's health, and any other questions that we have.
