“This was a very surprising little find! Perfect definition of little hole in the wall spot. We totally overlooked it the night before, but I happened to spot it after getting my coffee just a couple doors up. We got the Mango Muscle and the Apple Lemon Finger Cleanse. The smoothie was phenomenal! Exactly what we were looking for! Typically we consider ourselves health conscious and very good at maintaining a healthy diet, so when on Vacation that is incredibly difficult to manage. And we try to avoid the chain locations. So finding this was EPIC! The guy running the place was very informative and took his job very seriously. And I mean that in the most complimentative way possible. I was looking for something ginger-y and to sorta smooth my stomach from All the taffy, ice cream, pastries, coffees, drinks, lobsters ETC…… and he suggested the perfect blend for me. It was strong with the ginger but I loved it! Now we know what we’ll be hitting up on our returning visits! Awesome to know it’s around!”

“We’ll be moving soon, so we paid a visit to Rockport to enjoy a lovely sunny day by the water. Little did we know we would discover Brackett’s. What an awesome place! The food was delicious and the view was spectacular. 1) Brackett’s Fish Cakes (a local favorite!): Homemade fishcakes served with newburg or old bay sauce. 2) Fried Shrimp Plate. We loved everything. Couldn’t have asked for more incredible local seafood. And the service was lovely!”

From having a bottle of Champagne ready for us, to giving us an incredible table, we had a magical evening. The bonny bread is always amazing, as well as their prime rib. If you're planning a special evening, make your reservations ahead of time, as the other options on Bearskin Drive in Cape Ann are quite limited, so it does fill up quick. We hope we'll be back again soon!”

“We had dinner here our last night in Gloucester (vacation). The food was very good. My daughter had the salad with pears, some type of seafood soup/stew, my son-in-law had the steak and I had the grilled chicken Caesar salad. The restaurant itself is lovely (soft lighting and twinkle lights). Service was quite slow but our server was attentive and pleasant, as was everyone else we interacted with.”

“Historic Emerson Inn's restaurant. Don't know if tavern is the correct title as there is only a small bar separate from the dining area. Dining room is a large single room with scattered tables and chairs that are meant to get you up after an hour (uncomfortable). Small menu featuring some nice preparations executed tastefully. We enjoyed, a cheese board with jam and honey placed directly on the board, would have preferred small vessels of these accompaniments. Salmon won tons, NY strip, and Scallops. Nothing visually spectacular but the flavors where on point. Very small wine list. Seasonal place April-October.”

“We had our wedding at the Emerson Inn in early November. We can’t say enough wonderful things about the whole experience. The Inn is beautiful with gorgeous ocean views, but maintains a relaxed and homey vibe, which is absolutely perfect. We had exclusive use of the inn for our guests and everyone commented on how much they loved their time there. The whole weekend felt so personal and “like us,” and didn’t feel like a cookie cutter type of wedding whatsoever. The food was OUTSTANDING. Many people shared with us how much they liked the buffet that we had. Even the breakfasts were terrific each morning! And lastly, Candice (the event coordinator) was amazing to work with. She thought of everything and made our wedding day feel seamless and special. We will be returning to the Emerson Inn for years to come!!”
